I returned to the Doña Luisa again this year, like every year. I’ve stayed here so many times, and I keep coming back! The hotel is new, opened in 2017, and the facilities are well maintained so everything is still in good condition. My standard room was very nice, well lit and designed with fair colours. It was spacious for a three-star and really offers four-star comfort and amenities. Many four-stars nearby don’t even come close with their worn-out rooms. The room came with fast and reliable wifi. Logging in is a bit laborious as the system asks a thousand questions, but then it stays logged in for the whole stay. There were sockets at the desk and bedside tables so charging your devices was easy. The bed was comfortable. There was a safe and ample closet space. A 0.5 L bottle of water was provided on arrival, but was not replenished. There was no bathtub, but the shower had a handheld shower as well as a rain showerhead, with good water pressure. The bathroom came with several amenities usually seen in first-class hotels, such as a razor, a toothbrush etc. All staff were very friendly and helpful, and they spoke excellent English at reception. Breakfast was served in the basement breakfast room from 7 to 10:30 and cost 8 euros, which is a fair price. The buffet had several hot and cold options, including melon and serrano ham, eggs fried, boiled and scrambled, vegetables, cold cuts, cheeses, breads, cakes etc. The hotel, which was more than well worth its price, is located a block from Las Canteras beach and a short walk away from Santa Catalina park, with lots of shopping and dining opportunities close by. There is a supermarket 100 meters from the hotel. The location couldn’t be better!
