Rondador Cotopaxi

Lovely family run hotel near Cotopaxi - had a great time and they organise trips for you to the national park and lagoon as well as pick ups from the airport and to the city. Food is great too and internet - and cheaper than others in the area. Comfy beds too!

From the second we arrived at Rondedor guesthouse we felt at home and safe. It's the most wonderful, safe haven on the edge of the Cotopaxi national park. Ferdinado is the kindest host who organized a well priced taxi for us from Latacunga to the guesthouse. We had some of the best food we have eaten in Ecuador there (chicken curry, best potato soup, best hot chocolate, delicious pork chops, best breakfast) beside the cozy fire. The portions are huge and well priced. The garden has lamas which we were lucky enough to be able to feed. Their driver (Don Fransico) took us on 30 dollar tour to cotopaxi in the morning which was so worth it and even included a cozy lunch when we came back freezing afterwards. Ferdinando even played a concert for us in the evening and we all danced. They did our washing and made sure we had everything we needed. This was my favorite place to stay in Ecuador and I didn't want to leave. On the day we left we saw cotopaxi from the garden! Thank you Ferdinando and your family. Could not recommend this more highly!
