Hotel – Spa – Restaurant Sonnenhof Lautenbach

We stayed at the Sonnenhof Hotel & Spa for 8 days as a family of five and had a truly wonderful experience. We booked two rooms with a connecting door, which made our stay very comfortable. The hotel is super clean and quiet, offering a peaceful retreat. The location is fantastic! Lautenbach is a beautiful, picturesque town, surrounded by the stunning nature of the Black Forest. It’s an ideal base for exploring the region’s top attractions. The Black Forest National Park is about a 30-minute drive away, and other highlights like the famous Triberg Waterfalls are around an hour’s drive. We also visited Europa Park, which is less than an hour away and perfect for a fun-filled family day. Freiburg, with its charming old town, is only a little over an hour’s drive, and even Strasbourg in France is just 45 minutes away—ideal for a day trip! The staff were exceptionally nice and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast was fabulous every morning with a wide variety of delicious options. The spa was a highlight for us, especially the hot tub, which was great fun and a perfect way to relax. There’s plenty of parking available, which made things very convenient for us. If you’re looking for a relaxing, family-friendly hotel with excellent amenities, in a beautiful location, I highly recommend Sonnenhof Hotel & Spa! What a fantastic hotel. The rooms are big, some have a balcony and with a beautiful view. No noise during the night. Very friendly service. Fantastic spa facilities, like indoor pool, sauna, salt rooms, outdoor jacuzzi and much more. I will definitely stay their again

Many plusses: pleasant and helpfull crew; big doppelzimmer rooms; good bathroom architecture; airco; frig and in room coffee machine. Laundry service available: quick, clean and fair priced. Excellent spa/swimming pool. Could be better: bar entourage and atmoshere; cramped breakfast rokm spaces and tables: at 9am buns, eggs and scrambled are run out. Poor coffee machine logistics. Quality if breakfast food is good. Disapointing: overrated dinercard, and kitchen brigade that doesnt honor traditional German good cocking.

The hotel is small but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Spacious rooms with a balcony. The spa is very good too. They have the option of wearing a swimsuit. The cleaning service is very friendly. And most importantly, the hotel management helped us with the shipment of belongings that we left forgotten.

The hotel is in a beautiful Black Forest setting. Rooms and breakfast (included) were a treat in themselves, but they have a spa too! The amazing pool and hot tub overlooking Lautenbach were amazing. Don't miss out on the Salt Grotto (room with Salt blocks) for de-toxing and relaxing. Thank you for offering a fantastic space for winding down our 14 day visit.

This was our second visit to this lovely hotel in the heart of the Black Forest. This time we treated ourselves to the Superior Mountain View rooms which we really enjoyed. The rooms are very spacious and pleasantly decorated with quality fittings and a wonderful balcony and view. The restaurant has got more expensive with less choice and fewer opening hours. The food is good but maybe not quite as good as it was last time. Otherwise perfect!

Mit der ersten Ankunft wurde alles erfüllt. Freundlicher Empfang, tolles Zimmer, schöne Terrasse mit vielen Getränkeoptionen, leckerfeines Essen, schöne Bar, toller Wellnessbereich . . . Es passte alles, wir haben dort in 4 Wochen wieder ein gemeinsames Rendezvous.

Fantastisch verblijf! We hebben afgelopen week genoten van een heerlijk verblijf in dit hotel. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. De kamers waren ruim, modern en zeer comfortabel, perfect om tot rust te komen. Het eten was absoluut topklasse, met een ruime keuze en ontzettend smaakvol bereid. Wat ons verblijf echt bijzonder maakte, was het vriendelijke en behulpzame personeel. Ze deden er alles aan om ons een geweldige tijd te bezorgen. Wij komen hier zeker terug!

APPRECIATION GENERALE Dans un environnement paisible de petite ville viticole, belle infrastructure d'origine familiale composée d'ancien rénové et de moderne, avec une volumineuse partie wellness bien organisée et répondant aux attentes A AMELIORER Suggestion appuyée d'un petit déjeuner plus sophistiqué pour le 4* affiché ! A classement identique, beaucoup d'autres établissements proposent des plats personnalisés à la demande (omelettes, oeufs pochés, etc.), ceci ici absent. Par ailleurs, mais sans doute circonstances fortuites échappant au contrôle de l'établissement, récurrentes et désagréables odeurs d'épandages de lisier agricoles extérieurs: fâcheux lorsqu'on est en bain-bulle de plein air ou en diner en terrasse...
