Hotel Restaurant Jungfrau

Do not stay here. This was the most awful hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were friendly enough but the room was terrible. The door opened into the bathroom, the shower head was loose and the soaps weren’t filled. The room did not have anything but a bed and a wooden closet. No water glasses or basic courtesies.

Dirty, smelly, over-priced. Older properties in need of a refurb are one thing but dirty, unclean properties is another and is not acceptable. Thick dust everywhere - under beds, on top of wardrobe, on bathroom cabinet, mouldy bathroom ceiling, squashed dead animals on walls and floors, door locks that don't work properly, a pervading smell of bins in the stairwell, broken tiles in bathroom, missing grout, mould and dirt on hair-dryer cable, a kettle but no cups, glasses, tea or coffee in the room. We stayed in room 35 one night which has a balcony over looking the road and then in room 33, which looks out the side to the Staubach Falls and was cleaner but still not At £150 a night in September 2024 with no breakfast included (offered at an extra £15 pp cold buffet) this is a terrible choice in Lauterbrunnen, they are trading on the the fact that several hotels are closed in summer and so demand to stay in the valley is high. The staff though are friendly and were quite helpful and the bedding is clean and a free car park.

Charming location and attractive rooms BUT an apartment for five was not equipped for five, especially the kitchen, which was remarkably bare of equipment. No bed linen was provided for the fifth bed, even after asking. The restaurant closes in the early evening and late arrival should be avoided because staff appear unavailable afterwards. Room servicing was promised but never came. Much attention to detail is needed to make this value for money.

we receive a room with a broken bed .was a twin beds room but the beds were not the same one was broken and unusable.we made a complain to the owner by phone and he tell us that we can cancel the reservation even though we already paid in advance.we din"t receive our money back until today one month later.this room was not suitable for sleeping , the entry was through shoewer that was in very bad condition.our recomandation is not even try this hotel.we stay nearby ad-hoc with a few more money but in excellent conditions.administration of this "hotel" is not swiss and the level of this "hotel" is very low even for a poor country.

Worst service ever. My partner left his phone behind. When we eventually got through we asked for the phone to be sent to my friend's place. He was going to bring it to us when we next met on our travels. The phone never arrived. We lost lots of beautiful memories, contacts and everything. If we had known they were too lazy to be bothered sending it we'd have gone back to pick it up. Now its too late as we are back in Australia. I sent two emails and didn't even receive the decency of acknowledgement. On the day we arrived we indicated we would be checking in at around 12.30. When we arrived the hotel was closed. There was nothing to say what time we would be able to access our accommodation. Terrible. The room was small, basic and overpriced. Although I do realise accommodation in Switzerland is expensive. Terrible experience, so disappointing.

Het hotel ligt op een prachtige locatie. De accomodatie is gedateerd. Het ontbijt is slecht. Het bijbehorende restaurant heb ik geen ervaring mee. Het personeel is vriendelijk. Het hotel heeft een eigen parkeerplaats en dat is erg welkom.
