This Hotel was picked for our 3 day stay in Lauterbrunnen because of the 1. VIEW 2. Parking 3. Elevator But, now I know, the Hotel Staubbach is so much more. I just read the gentleman’s review who was recently staying at the Hotel and he said ‘it is old and worn and should be torn down and replaced’. To be honest, my first thought was ‘I probably could not afford it if it was sleek and modern’. This Hotel was so much more than my first 3 requirements. It felt like coming to a home in the beautiful Alps. A home that welcomed you and actively tried to fill your needs. The staff was genuinely welcoming…from the attentive manager, Adam, who saw that everything was running smoothly and the breakfast crew who cheerfully saw to the needs of everyone…to the lovely lady with her cleaning cart in the hall, slipping me an extra little chocolate. Yes, this is NOT a sleek and modern Hotel, it might creak and have a couple of worn bits. It is more like a gracious older grand Lady sharing her perfect stop on earth. Enjoy!

Wonderful little gem of a hotel right in front of Staubbach Falls. We had a great connecting room with bunk beds for the kids. The view of the waterfall illuminated at night was beautiful. Great spread for breakfast with hot items like eggs and bacon. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! Of particular note was Imola at breakfast. She always greeted us with a big smile and was happy to accomodate any request. Fantastic stay!

This is an older building that needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Nothing about it except for the friendly staff was appealing. Mediocre breakfast, cramped shower, thin walls and creaky doors should complete the picture. The internet was very good.

The room was comfortable but we spent most of our time on the balcony absorbing the amazing beauty of the Staubbach Falls, the mountains, river, and valley, and enjoying walks through the town. Best breakfast in our 15-week travels this year. Tristan at the front desk was friendly and very helpful — we would have missed Trummelbach Falls had it not been for his recommendation. Easy walk to/from the train station and bus stops.

Such a wonderful Hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the location was amazing. The breakfasts were great with lots of options like scrambled eggs, fruit, toast, local yogurt and meats and cheeses and we loved sitting in the dining room with views of the waterfalls!

My daughter and I stayed here early October. Great location, short walk from train station. We had a double room which was very nice size with a balcony with views of the waterfall. The front desk staff was lovely and so were the ladies in the breakfast room. Highly recommend

Excellent location Amazing team Clean and family friendly place. Offers as many comforts as it possibly can. Comfortable beds, lots of place to lounge during the day and family room with microwave to warm up food. Recommend this place especially if you have small children. Overall awesome.

This is the 4th time I've stayed at Hotel Staubbach. Each time my experience has been great. The staff here are so welcoming & friendly. It's a short walk from the train station with amazing views of the mountains & Staubbach Falls. We had a balcony which was really nice. When we arrived, they had a big WELCOME BACK sign in our room with a bottle of wine. When I went just before I got married, they had rose petals & chocolates on the bed in the shape of a heart! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This Hotel is clean, great location, staff who go above & beyond... I would highly recommend!

The people who work at this hotel are just amazing. They are so welcoming, helpful, friendly. The views are stunning, the breakfast is really good, and it has a certain mountain charm to it no doubt. I arrived with an injured knee and they were really nice to lend me some walking poles and provided a lot of helpful information before I arrived and after. Nice single room with a little balcony that had an incredible view. I would highly recommend it.
