Hôtel Café Miramar

Stayed in the Seaview apartment across the road from the hotel, it is as described in the hotel information and the photos are accurate. Lovely view and enjoyed sitting on the balcony although a bit cold in April. Quiet. Staff were excellent and responsive to any request. Only ate once in the restaurant for dinner and had a lovely meal. Recommended.

The convince of the property to the beach, and also free parking was great. also great view from my room which was a partial view but still for myself was perfect to see everything.

Gorgeous, friendly, boutique hotel with a top chef. We asked about vegan food for dinner and we're served the most delicious dish prepared specially. Truly imaginative chef - top marks.

Though the receptionist was charming, our stay here was very very disappointing. The rooms are very small, and there are no sunshades on the balconies, which makes them uncomfortable to use during the day. Also, cheap bedding, and the food in the restaurant is mediocre. Stay at the Ostau Camarguen instead.

We really like Cafe Miramar. The room was nicely decorated and had a fantastic view. The staff were all very friendly and the restaurant was excellent. I’d have eaten there every day but my wife insisted we try other places!

We have just returned from a week 13th - 20th July 2022 at Cafe Miramar. We had previously stayed in the hotel for 5 nights in July 2019 and had such a wonderful time we had booked to return in July 2020 but unfortunately had to cancel due to the COVID Pandemic. So we had been so looking forward to coming back. We rarely go back to the same place and that tells you how special this little hotel and Le Grau du Roi are. The location is perfect across from the beach and we loved our room (16) as it had a lovely beach front balcony and side port hole window. The shower is good and air conditioning is excellent. The room as previous reviewers have said is small. We loved the Cafe Miramar beach club and the staff particularly the waiters look after you very well. When we were at Cafe Miramar in 2019 we had no problem booking beds and parasols. This time unfortunately Le Grau du Roi has grown in popularity and due to it being the weekend following Bastille day we could only book for the last 2 days of our week stay. So take my advice and book the beach club early. We loved having our breakfast outside looking over the beach. The girls who served us were lovely. Plenty of cereal, bread, croissants and cheeses and ham. Although there were fruit we would have preferred if it had been cut up and a little more variety. We had dinner at the hotel the first night and it was delicious. I had goat cheese salad and my husband had the razor clams. We were fortunate to see the fireworks on Bastille day as well as the water jousting. Make sure you book a sunset cruise. We had a hired car and made day trips to Montpellier and Aigues Mortes. Both worth seeing. Don’t bother going to see La Grand Motte. But the best thing of all are the outstanding canal, beach front and little squares restaurants and the seafood. All the menus are in French but everyone who served us were so helpful! When checking out we spoke to Stefanie the owner and had a lovely chat. Le Grau du Roi is a hidden gem and we love it because the French have kept it a secret and there are not many foreigners who know about it. Cafe Miramar is the place to stay! We loved it.
