Château d'Apigné Rennes

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Chateau. Our room was very large and had all the amenities. It was quiet, clean with a very nice bathroom. We enjoyed walking around the property. The breakfast was good with several choices. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Really Lovely setting, hotel and restaurant. We are thrilled with it. So glad we utilized this establishment on our trip in Brittany. It is outstanding value. But more than that, it is a perfect place to stay.

Just the most beautiful chateau and parkland. We were given a very warm welcome and looked after very well. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Our meal was so beautifully presented and very tasty. A gastronomic feast!

Located in a classic country estate located but 10 minutes from the Rennes airport, this is a gorgeous establishment, with most elegant and comfortable rooms (she notes the bathtub was big enough for basketball players). Dinner was sumptuous – excellent food, perfect wine pairings and excellent service. We’d be delighted to return. Strongly recommended.

The chateau and its furnishings were so elegant, the room was large and beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was spacious with double sinks, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfasts and the staff were great. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. We had a lovely stay.

We chose this venue going by the website , the rooms , the food the history etc looked amazing ! Sadly not the case the chateau is set in beautiful grounds but the feel when you enter is not at all inviting, staff appeared subdued and not overly welcoming , the room very tired and not clean , plenty of dust ! We arrived late looking forward to a nice breakfast which was served in our room which was not our choice,my husbands continental breakfast was ok but I ordered bacon, poached eggs , tomato's and toast , no tomato available and the whole breakfast turned up very cold . The second morning we decided to have breakfast and this time was in a small restaurant, plenty of choice but this morning I was not able to have poached eggs only fried or scrambled. Presentation was poor and cooked by a gentleman normally in reception no chef clothes and probably no hygiene certificate either. That was our last breakfast in our weeks stay. Dinner menu offered was choice of two starters, two mains and two desserts , where was the a la Carte we thought , we didn't bother dining for dinner during our stay. We had room service snacks which were ok . Twice we had to ask for toilet paper as house keeping never topped up and one day we had gone out and returned to having the room not touched until a lovely polite lad asked if we would like our bed changed and our cups and glasses changed , he was about as cheerful as it got regarding the staff. To sum it up the chateau is very tired including the staff , no atmosphere at all and generally a miserable stay was had. Would we go back definitely not very disappointed !

From our first moments walking into the Château we felt relaxed and at home. We had a very warm welcome from Emilie at reception who then kindly showed us to our lovely room overlooking the garden. The shower in our room was fantastic! A special mention to Antoine and Charlene who gave an exceptional service during our dinner. Not only were they lovely, they also made us feel relaxed and very welcomed. Their knowledge of the menu and English speaking skills was very impressive. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations, congratulations to the chef. We look forward to returning to the Château in the near future. Thank you!

The Chateau is absolutely fabulous. Our room was excellent with a large double bed, fantastic bathroom and all of the creature comforts you could ask for. Our room had a fabulous view over the lake. All of the staff (except one) went above and beyond and were not only professional they were exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay wonderful. The only negative of our stay was my meal in the "Gourmet restaurant. At first the Maitre' d couldn't have been more helpful as my wife is a vegetarian and I am allergic to Fish. My wife had a wonderful fish dish which she absolutely loved. The issue came with my Cote de Bouf which was so tough it was inedible, these was a small piece of what was described as Shoulder? which was tender but the rest was inedible. When this was mentioned to the Maitre 'd he totally ignored my comment and completely ignored my dissatisfaction. In order to get something edible I asked for cheese , I received five small pieces with no crackers or bread until I requested it. All in all a memorable stay spoilt by one member of staff. We all get this wrong but it's how you put them right is how you will be judged. When we checked out I mentioned to the Reception my issue, she refunded 5 Euros. Also be aware if you order a coffee you will be charged extra for the milk.

Rapport qualité prix exceptionnel. Logement et restauration juste excellents. Nous y avons passé deux nuits et finalement dîné à deux reprises au restaurant compte tenu de la qualité, d'un très bon équilibre des plats et parce que c'est bon, quoi !. Sans oublier un personnel attentif, professionel et au petit soin avec les clients. J'adore Bref, on recommande
