Ionion Star Hotel

We stayed one night at this hotel on our way to meet friends and we had a great experience. The room was enormous, beautiful, very clean and comfortable with everything we could possibly have needed. There is a kitchen area with all facilities and large bathroom. We had a wrap around balcony with views of the pool which was also very clean and never crowded. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. It’s about a 10-15 min walk into Preveza harbour where there were loads of inviting bars, restaurants and shops. The taxi from the airport is about 10-15 min and costs 25euro as you go through the tunnel with a toll charge. You can get drinks by the pool but there is no restaurant on site but lots of recommended places to walk to.

its not on the beach and doesnt have a restaurant,The owner is almost invisible but insists that you leave your room key on the open counter meaning anyone can pick it up access your room and steal anything they want ( although this didnt happen to us ).Nice pool and large room and breakfast things in the fridge.BUT the key situation should change.

Small team of staff could not be more welcoming and helpful throughout or stay. Hotel 100% recommended - but do your homework beforehand. Close to airport, but also close to main road. Fifteen minute stroll to the bottom end of the town, same distance to the small beach area in opposite direction. Our family suite was huge, modern, spotlessly clean and well appointed (with well stocked fridge) with a huge balcony. Only negative for us was the lack of a hands free shower. Pool, poolside and surrounding garden were also immaculately maintained. Probably better to hire a car, more convenient and short taxi rides seemed expensive compared to home
