Mulroy Woods Hotel

Just back from a two night stay at this hotel. Staff are amazing. My son is moderate with autism and they all went above and beyond to make sure he felt at ease. A special mention to Tina in the bar who was so friendly and helpful. Michaela served us also and she could not have been nicer. The staff really make this place. Sinead on reception was so helpful and friendly too. Food was amazing. I would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat. There were a few about but not too busy but we prefer that. The hotel was empty. A large section of the hotel is cordoned off for immigrants. We were completely unaware of this and on arrival on mother's Day the place was empty which was a surprise to us. We had no one to talk to other than staff. The cordoned off area outside is solely for the use of immigrants and the rooms are below the guest rooms. The courtyard they use is very noisy day and night and we were right above it. Overall very disappointing and due to the lack of paying guests there's a complete lack of atmosphere. We will not be staying again.

Staff were great. However.......place was completely dead as this hotel is housing migrants. Had I have known this we wouldn't have been there and will not be back. Bar/restaurant was completely empty both nights. We ate in town. Lovely hotel but if they're housing illegal undocumented migrants, they'll not be getting my money again. Avoid.

Came into the hotel with my partner and decided to get a drink , as we approached the bar there was a staff member called Michaela working behind the bar , there was no hello or friendly gestures , did not come over to ask if we wanted a drink baring in mind it wasn’t busy at all , I asked her if they did cocktails and she just nodded her head , then I had to ask for a cocktail menu in which she just rolled her eyes and passed the job onto the other staff member as she walked away , not accommodating and approachable at all and nearly felt like as if we were bothering her

Recently visited Mulroy woods with friends for a girls break away. Really impressed with the hotel. We were made really welcome on arrival by the receptionist Sinead who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was one to remember. The hotel was spotless, room so spacious and comfortable and a little added bonus of a drinks reception in the room and little welcome message. Nice touch. Prime location for taking off to explore. Beautiful food. Lovely staff. Will definitely be back soon and would highly recommend. Many thanks.

We had a lovely break away recently with friend's in the Mulroy Woods Hotel. From we went entered the hotel we were greeted by very friendly & professional staff. Went into our room WOW !!! it was so spacious and everything we needed in it. It was exceptionally clean, the bathroom, shower etc was spotlessly clean. Went down to restaurant for dinner was greeted by a lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us the meal was just beautiful compliments to the chef. loads of food and beautifully presented. Went to the bar each night, staff once again very nice and helpful it was nice and cozy. Our overall stay was so lovely will defo be back xx A special word of thanks to the receptionist Sinead. She helped us plan our excursions for the days ahead. She was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again.
