Premier Inn Leicester City Centre

The location is perfect but the room standard is varied. Couple months back I stayed in the renovated room without bath but shower. I wanted to the same type of room this time but I was put into a disable room which had some very strong chemical smell and the bathroom conditions was really bad with mould and colour. Tried to change room but was not allowed. They said they could only move me to another disable room even I paid the same price for the renovated room.

I used to like this Premier Inn as I was quite happy with my previous stay. However this time we were allocated with a low floor and not renovated room. When I requested for room change, I was requested to wait at the lobby till 3:30pm whilst the check-in time printed in the hotel confirmation was 2pm. During the stay there was no room cleaning, and no replenishment of toiletries which was made our stay not comfy. Pictures #1 and 2 are room not renovated and pictures #3 and 4 the refurbished one.

adequate basic room - expected more comfort in line with the other premier inns - even for that very reasonable and low price in Leicester I was however satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and sleeping area. I would consider sleeping here again for he location is good.

Comfortable, quiet and clean, and I got a good night’s sleep. The hotel does feel like it’s due a refurbishment soon - slow wifi, standard definition TV, cranky air con, whiff of damp in the stair well, slightly dingy (albeit clean and spacious) room - but all the basics are there, and the unlimited cooked breakfast is tasty and good value.

Great location in the city centre. Reasonably priced for its location compared with other nearby hotels. Had discounted parking on site. Nice room with everything you need & was very clean. Excellent service from Harry at the bar, looked after us very well!!!

Although we live locally, we stay over at this Premier Inn when visiting the theatre in the evening. As usual, the staff here are friendly, efficient and kind. For instance, when we arrived we booked breakfast for the next day but didn't appear on the list in the morning. I offered to go back to the room to fetch the receipt but the member of staff dealing with us took my word that we'd booked. Also, my wife wanted a decaff coffee from the bar but the machine doesn't do decaff - but the lady behind the bar said she'd use a decaff sachet that you find in the rooms, and she wouldn't charge for it. Also, next day my wife had a hospital appointment in the afternoon: the Premier Inn staff let us sit comfortably in the lobby after we checked out, until it was time to get a taxi to the hospital. These are just a few examples of the kindness we've always found here at this hotel. Also, the food is good value and the rooms are always neat and clean. Highly recommended.

Attending an event in Leicester and don’t know the area so we booked a premier inn as they are usually pretty reliable, clean and comfortable. Is reasonably easy to get to, although the postcode they tell you to use on the website was trying to send us the other way, luckily we spotted it in time. Car parking is on site but not the biggest spaces, if you’re a larger vehicle or cautious driver maybe try the station car park over the road. Check in was painful as none of the self check in points were working and only 1 card reader at the desk so queue was long. Once checked in we headed to the stairs to be greeted by a horrible damp smell and very worn, grubby carpet, not the best start. Room wasn’t much better, was surface clean but felt tired and grubby, bathroom smelled musty and there was blood on the door. Location is great for city centre, very close to everything so we were able to walk to where we had to go which was great. Bed was clean and comfortable and slept well. Breakfast was good although bacon and sausages looked hardly cooked and not very appealing but tasted ok. Overall I’m not sure I would stay here again which is a shame as Premier Inn is usually so reliable.

My friends and i had a great stay. Our room was comfy and had a perfect view of leicester. This hotel is also very central to the train station and the shopping centre. Additionally, Naomi on reception was super helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Toni on reception was an absolute star sorting out early check in for us as we had to work at 4pm and check in was at 3pm we would if struggled to make it , thanks Toni . Breakfast was lovely well worth the money plenty to choose from and all hot and fresh .
