When we checked in my business partner said, “What’s for breakfast?” The lady that was helping us said, “free coffee and tea, no food”! So, I asked, “why do you call it a bed and breakfast?”! I would recommend that you spend a little more money and stay elsewhere! The rooms are bare, you had better have all of your essentials soap, shampoo, conditioner and anything else you need because NOTHING is provided! The parking situation is awful, The place looks exactly as it did in the 40’s, and it is still sporting the same carpet. I wish that I could write something positive but the only positive thing that I can think of is the fact that it taught me what I have been missing my entire career which is there is a place that is actually worse then the worst place that I ever stayed before, after 30 years of traveling for a living, that is saying something!

I was spending the weekend with my friend and travelling by motorbike. I was worried about leaving my bike on the street so I rang in the morning and they assured me there would be somewhere secure for me to leave my bike. Sure enough, upon arrival the guy was waiting for me with the gate open to park my bike behind the hostel. He took me through to the reception and although I did not eat or drink, the hostel was very cosy, quiet and everything in the city was easily accessible on foot. For the price the room was spacious, well equipped with a tv and sink, clean and comfy. When I checked out they let me leave my luggage, leathers and bike gear for hours while I had lunch. Outstanding service, excellent value for money. Would recommend and would stay again.

I was concerned after reading some of the reviews, especially as I was travelling alone - but there's absolutely nothing wrong with this place. I agree with Mike C, the people are welcoming, the place is clean, yes the rooms are basic but they are clean and comfortable - what do you expect for £35? It's maybe not the place for a luxury stay but it's very close to the city centre and train station. I stayed one night and it was the perfect place for a good night's sleep after an event. I'd stay again.

Stayed here this week for a few nights with my daughter we shared a double took it was clean and basic with a working tv and sink in the room the lady on reception was welcoming and friendly we were provided with clean towels and shampoo which we used in the shared shower room the door locked and the shower was clean and warm . There was also a toilet near our room this B&B is perfect for a budget stay for anyone wanting a base in the area . The parking was on street and we were provided with the relevant parking permit The room is basic but clean I’d stay here again if I was to visit the area

An aboslutely vile place to stay. Absolute bare basics are provided, rooms are like a jail cell. Rooms are bare, a bed, a television and a sink. That is it. They are old and dirty. When I arrived I was told I could not have access to my room until I paid again. The room was £29 and I had already paid this online but the agressive and threatening staff put me under pressure to pay again or I could not have access. I have since tried to argue this charge but I have just been met with aggressive phone calls and emails. I have also heard that drug dealers use the premesis. Absolutely avoid at all costs.

Well - when I say a bed in a room that is it - THAT IS IT - TV on a wall that is it - no nothing except a bed, carpet, and a light bulb on the ceiling. The young lady let us park in the staff car park behind the building as no parking available which was nice - if you just want somewhere to sleep that is cheap then this is the place
