Mary and Gerry are gracious and thoughtful hosts. Mary is very helpful to arrange and recommend activities and offers a lovely chat at breakfast. The location is fantastic, close to the village of Oughterard, walkable and beautifully curated grounds. Parking is easily accessible and plenty of spots. The room was large, the beds comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. There were waters left for us each day as well as room tidying. The food was delicious at breakfast with a bright, cheery breakfast atrium. My son loved their friendly and very well trained Labrador Maggie. Overall, it was a splendid stay and I highly recommend Mary and Gerry Carrowntober House. I would definitely book again and highly recommend for children and families, groups. Thank you!!

Wow wow wow, this place was incredible! Mary and Gerry were so kind! They gave great directions around town and were some of the nicest people I have ever met!! The rooms were clean, the shower was large and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, the best mushrooms I have ever had!! It was only a 15-30 minute drive out of Galway, however the town that the B&B is in so beautiful too, with super friendly people! We only stayed here for one night, wish it could of been longer :) xx Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay.

My dad has started staying here during the fishing season and he loves it. Run by a lovely couple, Mary and Gerry who are very kind and always look after my dad and go the extra mile to make sure he is comfortable. Very clean, comfortable beds, and rooms are a good size with an en-suite.

We loved our stay with Mary!! Our visit was on the last night of our trip and it was our favorite B&B. Her home is so warm and welcoming. She is very personable and goes to great lengths to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast she prepared was amazing as well! We can't stress it enough how much we believe you will also enjoy your time at Carrown Tober House in Oughterard Co Galway.

We had a wonderful stay in Oughterard. Mary and Gerry made us feel so welcome and the room and facilities were great. An amazing breakfast every morning, setting us up for the day. Central location and able to walk in to the village every evening for a great meal. So welcoming and accommodating, we will be back again soon.

Must stay! Mary & Gerry are amazing hosts, it’s like you are staying with family. The B&B is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and we looked forward to it everyday. Mary and or Gerry were always there with a smile and checking if we needed anything . It is walking distance into Oughterard which was great ! Definitely will go back & highly recommend staying here .

Had a lovely night stay at this B&B after a long day of travel. Comfortable beds and everything was so clean. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. Definitely wished we had been able to book a second night there.

Now granted, the first impression of this comfortable B&B was the brilliant sunset as we drove from downtown Galway. Updated and immaculate bathrooms, lovely sleeping rooms, a bright dining space with views of the yard and gardens. Jerry and Mary anticipate every need and enjoy what they do - it shows! Within walking distance of Power’s Thatch Pub and Restaurant as well as Faherty’s Pub, for full, joyful Irish experiences. A couple of great days and a a lifetime of memories!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Carrown Tober House in Oughterard. We stayed 8 days visiting the family home of my immigrant great grandfather and meeting cousins for the first time. Mary and Gerry were wonderful hosts, and their B&B was quiet, very comfortable and a very convenient place to stay. My wife and I highly recommend.
