Glazert Country House Hotel

Came for a 60th birthday dinner with family and friends, and stayed over. Have been for a meal regularly over the years, and previously held a large family celebration at the hotel in 2015. Ten years later and nothing has changed. The staff are helpful and friendly, service is excellent, the food is fantastic and the accommodation is really comfortable. The garden is beautiful, and very well maintained. It’s a real pleasure to find everything still so well managed.

Stayed 1 night in room 7 and have to say it was very poor. Walls stained place dusty, skirtings filthy paper peeling off walls, need gutted and done up. The access door and corridor to room via old and dirty staircase also poor. Room smelt damp. Over complex instructions to use a TV ! The food saved the score and was of good quality good staff in bar at night and was well presented. Breakfast cooked to order was fine , dining room smelt musty and damp, Shame as I’m sure back in the day would have been a nice place. We book through work however probably won’t use again based on room standard

Had a great night celebrating my 60th birthday food was excellant staff were first class rooms were very comfy clean and a great nights sleep followed by a fresh cooked breakfast perfect for a family meal or any special occasion. Would recommend the glazert 100%.

This is a fantastic venue for a large group lunch. We had 50+ visiting today and nothing was too much bother for staff. Food and service were great. This is the 6th time we’ve visited as it goes down so well with our club. We brought along our own entertainer and had a fantastic room to ourselves, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. This is my second time staying at the hotel while away on business. The rooms are of a lovely size and very comfortable, everything required is in the room. Toiletries, iron and ironing board. But the best aspect is the spa bath. This time I had a corner spa bath which was just lovely after a day out working. Also the bathroom has a tv in so relaxing in the bath watching tv is a dream. The restaurant is very quaint, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. And the food!!! I had a burger which the menu says they make on site and I have to say one of the best burgers I have had in a very long time, absolutely delicious! I have had a very comfortable stay and I look forward to staying again on my next visit. So thank you to all the team at The Glazert Country House Hotel for making my stay 300 miles from home a pleasure.

I popped in tonight with my wife and son and although it was very busy , I managed to get a table , we were put through to the back dining area which is very nice , it was jumping and still the service was amazing , I had the mushroom bruschetta , followed by bear battered fish and chip , honestly couldn’t fault it , I was here on Thursday lunchtime with my mum and sister and again great service and wonderful food ,if you would like a change of restaurant or cafe , try the Glazert bank , top marks ,
