Domaine Mélusine

I stayed here for 3 nights as part of my visit to the nearby (excellent) puy du fou theme Park. All the staff were really friendly and spoke good English, which helped. The chalet and overall site/facilities opened around 3 years ago, but everything looks brand new. The breakfast buffet and evening meals were all really high quality and again all the staff were all really friendly. I got the impression that people liked working there and had a sense of pride and willingness to make people enjoy their stay. The only downside I saw, was that (to my surprise) the site seemed relatively empty, it was only perhaps at 10-15% capacity. I had booked it expecting it to be busy and for there to be lots of families with kids, so my children would be able to go off and have fun with other kids, but there were surprisingly few families/kids there. I put this down to 2 factors, 1) the price (it's quite expensive) and 2) lack of awareness of its existence. One other point of note, I made the Journey to Puy du Fou/Domaine Melusine without a car. Due to the location of both sites, that's not really feasible/practical. On day 2 (Sunday) it proved impossible to get a taxi and if it wasn't for the tenacity/persistence of the excellent staff, who managed to sort out some transport for us to Cholet, then we might still be stuck there!

De la réservation au séjour que du bonheur ! vraiment c’est une belle découverte , le personnel , le cadre , le chalet , les prestations tout est parfait . Nous avons participé à la foulée des géants le samedi soir et le lendemain journée au parc du puy du Fou ; Du coup notre grande déception fut de ne pas en profiter plus longtemps une nuit c’est beaucoup trop court et ce malgré la charmante attention du personnel qui nous a prévenu de la disponibilité de notre chalet dès le samedi matin . Nous recommandons sans restrictions et en conseillant un petit jour off pour profiter de ce beau domaine .

Le plus bel hébergement de toute ma vie. Prévu pour 6 personnes, nous étions 5. Salon-séjour, chambres et salles de bain TRES spacieux (2 SdeB et 2 WC dans le 6 pers.) Intérieur tout neuf, propre, moderne, TRES bien équipé, nous avons même pu dîner sur la terrasse le 1er soir. Et que dire de l'environnement ! Les bungalows sont indépendants et situés dans un magnifique parc arboré et fleuri. Les allées sont larges, le calme est assuré, ce fut une excellente surprise de découvrir cet hébergement à notre arrivée (n°309). Nous y avons passé 2 nuits et même si nous comprenons la limite de réservation à 2 nuits pour accueillir un maximum de visiteurs du Puy du Fou, nous avons eu un gros pincement au coeur au moment de partir pour se loger ailleurs la 3ème nuit. Un dernier mot à propos du petit déjeuner, varié, copieux et délicieux, vraiment à la hauteur du Domaine Mélusine et encadré par un personnel discret, attentif et souriant. Bravo et merci à tous ceux qui assurent l'entretien du Domaine Mélusine dont nous garderons un merveilleux souvenir.
