Theater Hotel Leuven Centrum

I was warmly welcomed by a lady and lot of info &recommendations about the city. The hotel is located in the very heart of the city, a couple steps away from the cathedral, the main square and the city hall, which is the image of Leuven (also 10minutes walk from Central Station). The building is a bit outdated, but at the same time it preserves the originality and history of it. Room was clean and big for today's standards, and breakfast had everything you need to start the day. Special mention to the beautiful breakfast room, they should definitely show it off more :) All in all, I would stay again if stopping in Leuven.

My room (third floor, 39) had an internal staircase of 16 steps between the bathroom and the floor where the bed was placed. Very inconvenient when I had to visit the bathroom (at night). In addition, this 'attic room'. was very dark with bad artificial lightning. Wifi did not work either, which was common according to the desk clerk. 142 euros is way too much for this poor accommodation.

I stayed in Theatre Hotel Leuven. I arrived 20 minutes early (1.40 pm), while the check-in was 2.00pm. However, our room didn't get ready till 2.30 pm. The manager said a person is cleaning the whole hotel, which is not what we expected. Waiting in a breakfast area with no AC on a hot day was terrible. The hotel doesn't even have a proper lobby. Rather than apologising for late check-in, the manager blamed me for arriving early. The manager behaviour was so unprofessional, The location of our room was exactly next to the hotel public bathroom and was smelly, the room was super hot because the hotel doesn't have any AC, I'm strongly not recommended this hotel in hot whether, the bed also was so uncomfortable, the price of the room is so high and it's totally not worth it. I had really really bad experience in this hotel.

locatie is super: centraal en dichtbij parking (en ook het station) wat in Leuven niet simpel is. Kamer is proper. Ontbijt is ok en wordt zeer goed aangevuld. Acoustiek in de ontbijtruimte zou beter kunnen, uiteraard ouder gebouw met parketvloer...wel veel trappen (naar receptie/naar ontbijtruimte), 1 kleine lift...bad is niet handig: te smal en ondanks handgreep toch moeilijk om er uit te geraken. maar we kwamen er voor de 4de keer en komen terug (maar max voor 2 nachten)
