This was our first visit to Elie and The Ship Inn. We stayed in the Admiral Nelson room - top floor with amazing views out over the beach and harbour area, a large comfortable room with a large ensuite. We ate dinner elsewhere but the breakfast was so delicious (smoked haddock omlette and fresh bakery produced bread) that I would be keen to return and stay for dinner.

Lovely stay. Staff are fantastic. Slightly on the expensive side but have a captive audience and is a beautiful place. Also drink prices are really reasonable. Breakfast was fab. Would come back. If I was to be picky, I would like to see robes/slippers in the room and hair conditioner. Parking is where you can find a space on a side street. All in all, would recommend.

We recently stayed two nights in the fabulous Ship Inn! We have stayed often over the last 22 years and it never disappoints! Our Captains room was very comfortable .. all that you would need/ expect..and more. Very smart en-suite! And the view from our room was just wonderful.. aided by the wonderful winter sun weather we had. We ate one night in the lovely upstairs restaurant and the second night in the warm cosey bar beside the fire. The menu was extensive and excellent. Breakfast was superb! It is very difficult to pick one member of staff out when the level of service was really outstanding… But a special mention is due to LizzieAnn who we encountered in various settings and she was so pleasant and helpful!

High standard food. Clean and comfortable room. Atmosphere was enjoyable and staff were very efficient and friendly. Great location. Live music provided some fun entertainment. Buzzy Saturday afternoon and even more so as 6N rugby matches were on! Would return.

Only problem was they were fully booked for a second night. Their 'sister' hotel in Lower Largo had a vacancy and staff were most helpful in arranging our second night at the Crusoe. Both hotels are on sea front with amazing views over beaches. Great food. Friendly staff.

Fabulous stay at The Ship. The Captain’s room was beautiful and had a fantastic view of the bay with complimentary binoculars. Bed was so comfortable and the bathroom had lovely large fluffy towels. Even had a magnifying mirror which was very useful Food was excellent and the staff were soo friendly and helpful.

Fabulous stay in a fabulous location. Sea views, amazing food, gorgeous spacious room, lovely staff, outside terrace for drinks overlooking the sea, can’t wait to book another visit. Thanks for accommodating our dietary requirements.

We had a fantastic overnight here after visiting the elie seaside sauna. Fernando gave us a warm welcome when we had a drink before checking in. Our room was perfect . It was clean and had everything you could need. The view from our room was breathtaking . A great touch was the binoculars. We ate in the restaurant and loved our meal. Breakfast was delicious. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We would love to visit again !

Excellent fast booking process as we had a gift voucher called to book. Booking explained and made very easily. Warm welcome and all details available. Room excellent and clean. Restaurant food was excellent. Slight disappointment was that we had expected more sea food on menu but it was a Monday so fresh seafood could be at a premium as fishermen not out at weekend. Very friendly and efficient service in dining room. very good selection of wines and spirits. Bar area was very welcoming anad friendly. Would return.
