Warning: Deceptive Practices at Complejo Ecoturistico Rancho Cielo I booked a prepaid room for my father through ******* at Complejo Ecoturistico Rancho Cielo, expecting a smooth experience. Unfortunately, upon arrival, he was charged the full price again, with the staff denying any record of his reservation. Ironically, they had sent a message via WhatsApp earlier confirming the booking. Despite presenting this evidence, they refused to provide a receipt or acknowledge their error. To add insult to injury, they imposed an unexpected $103 charge for a brief airport transfer—less than a mile away and under 10 minutes—which was never disclosed upfront. When questioned, they declined to refund this exorbitant fee. Moreover, the property is misrepresented as a hotel. In reality, it’s a private residence operating under the guise of a hotel, lacking the standards one would expect. Buyer beware: This establishment engages in misleading and unscrupulous practices. I strongly advise against booking here to avoid potential scams.

THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS. Big place but I don’t think there was anyone else there so that was spooky. No proper lock on door-just the kind you would see on bathroom door. Enter through big locked gate that owner opens and closes remotely so once you’re in you’re basically stuck. No way to order Uber eats but owner was kind enough to make me a plato tipico for free because there were no other options and he had cleaned out my cash because no accept credit cards. Eerie silence-think the Shining. Rooms spartan but clean. I guess it’s fine if you want to be close to airport. Shuttle was not cheap in relation to distance. I wouldn’t recommend for a single woman traveler due to insufficient lock on door. No toiletries in bathroom and I mistook some air freshener for a bar of soap.

Great location 5 minutes from the airport. Clean and the property is very big and scenic. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Definitely will come here when i travel to santiago on those late flights. 10/10 recommended.
