Kauai Palms Hotel

This was delightful, retro, clean, comfortable, restful, unique place to stay. Rini was supercharged and helpful, she was a delight. We really didn't had a pleasant visit with her. We will come again and highly recommend this place to others!

I was attracted to book at this hotel when I first saw it and I am so glad I did. From the great customer service by the young ladies at the desk, to leaving my key in a lockbox for my late arrival, to the hot Kauai coffee in the lobby every morning, to the Hawaiian history lesson and mini- museum offered by Ron the general manager, I felt so at home in this small unique hotel in Lihue..After a long flight to Kauai from the east coast, I was pleasantly surprised to be in my room within 10 minutes of picking up my rental car. The property is immaculate, a wonderful breeze flows thru the walkways in the evenings, and lovely Hawaiian music is played softly on the corridor speakers. Work is constantly being done on the upkeep of the property as evidenced by fresh nursery plantings, repairs on pipes etc none of which hinders the ingress and egress of guests. It seems like many guests have stayed at the Kauai Palms before since Ron greets so many guests by their name..if you like a personalized homey feel rather than a big luxe resort, I highly recommend this hotel ..it is centrally located and going in either direction on the island is doable for day trips with the exception of Princeville which is pretty far to the north..I hope to return to Kauai Palms on my next trip to Hawaii! Nice, clean, comfortable and quiet, with excellent customer service oriented employees. Our rooms offered a kitchenette with sink, fridge and microwave, coffee pot (also free coffee available by hotel office). What more can you ask for? Ask for the manager, Ron, to tell you a historical and cultural story about Kaua’i, complete with artifacts and photos. Included in the price at no additional cost! Made for a great foundation as we were staying the first couple days there before heading to the North side of the island for the next week. We like to learn and absorb the culture along with having fun in the sea and sun. Thank you, Ron, and to the hardworking hotel staff who made our stay so memorable. Such a pleasure!

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at Kauai Palms Hotel. It is a well-maintained, clean, vintage Hawaiian hotel. Our room was small but comfortable. The hotel played Hawaiian music softly all day which was quite pleasant & relaxing. The room rate was reasonable & far more affordable than the resorts. The hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants & the Kauai Museum. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for an alternative to the expensive resorts.

Love the feel of this little hotel. Plus none of the exorbitant resort fees. Super clean. We had a room with no AC which was just fine. Loved the garden area and balcony overlooking it - plus chairs available to sit outside. Appreciated morning coffee. Handy to the airport which was so valuable with our late night arrival. It has an incredible mini-museum display of artifacts and replicas. You need to stay here in order to hear Ron's fascinating talk on the artifacts and island history . Thank you so much for that Ron. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Thank you to Ron Kikumoto and the staff of Kaua'i Palms for being such wonderful hosts for our honeymoon. We loved staying at this charming, clean, reasonably-priced, and well-run hotel. The staff was so sweet and helpful, and Ron gave us our own, free, private, priceless oral history of the Kingdoms of Kaua'i and Hawai'i during his free time.
