Chengshe Chinese Inn (Zhongyi Market)

Close to Mufu Mansion and Zhongyi market in Lijiang Town , very convenient. Good customer service and room

Decided to book Orange inn after reading all the good review. It turn out to be a good choice. My family of three enjoyed our stay. Cosy and comfortable room. Quiet and clean. Beautiful ambient. Excellent location.  Super helpful & kind boss. Speedy response on enquiry, which I appreciated much.

Pros: (1) Located inside and at the fringe of Lijiang Ancient City. No problem getting in and out of the ancient city. (2) The Deluxe Suite - With View i booked is big and clean, definitely enough to sleep 2 adults and 2 children. However, i don't know what view is the B&B operator referring to, as i can only see a house under construction next door when i open my window. Everything was functional, except the shower water pressure was weak. Cons: (1) Sound proofing was very bad! I can hear every word when my neighbour was talking and every sound that came out from the TV in neighboring room. It was so bad i had to go and knock on their door to ask them to lower their voices, luckily they obliged. Some people slammed their doors in the morning and we all woke up and couldn't sleep anymore. (2) The staffs are not so friendly. We stayed there for 4 nights and hardly talked to anyone there. At the end of the stay, we didn't even know who is the boss or are those people all staffs hired by the boss. When we're checking out, one staff saw us carrying luggages down the stairs and she didn't even ask or offer to help. (3) Confusing policy. It's about a 5-minute walk from the entrance of the ancient city to the B&B. The walking path is layered with stones, so it's almost impossible to carry our luggages without a trolley. The day of checking in, the staff was kind enough to provide a drop-off location to our driver and he waited there with his trolley. Problem hit us during check-out. A day before check-out, i texted the staff and told him that we will check out at 8am tomorrow and wanted him to help us with the luggages. He then told me they only start to work at 1030am (something which we're not told before booking) and so nobody can help us carrying the luggages. To solve the problem, he suggested we pay RMB15 so that someone else could come and help. We agreed and specifically ask him to send us to the same location where he picked us up. The next morning, an old uncle came with his bicycle, loaded our luggages and sprinted off. I was chasing behind his bicycle. And here's the worst part, we're sent to another side of the ancient city because, according to that old uncle, the hotel staff gave him wrong information. Luckily my driver knew where we were and managed to pick us up at the new location. And actually that morning, someone from the B&B was there but she just stood there and watch. No greeting, no goodbye, no help. I felt pissed and cheated. Conclusion: I will not recommend this B&B to anyone. I can live with the not-so-helpful staffs, but the terrible sound proofing is certainly a deal breaker.

這家店小紅書刷到的，感覺不錯就訂了，但頭一天沒訂上4人房，訂的3人房，入住時感覺特別整潔舒適，一點沒讓人失望。第二天換到4人房，更是眼前一亮的感覺，太讚了，特別特別喜歡這個房型，房間寬敞、明亮整潔，很舒適，是住過的名宿裏性價比最高的。
