Lijiang Ancient City Yunxi Holiday Courtyard

It’s very convenient — not only close to the ancient town and Zhongyi Market, but also near Zhongyi Bus Station. The room is just as per the photos! The owner help carry your baggage from the main road to the hotel, saving you the trouble of crossing the bumpy roads in the ancient town. The owner is exceptionally friendly. She gave me an apple when I arrived, guided me through all the amenities, and — guess what! They provide bath salts, mosquito repellents, and even air fresheners in the bathroom! Not to mention the hand cream and body lotion (which most hotels don’t provide), and they even have a reed diffuser! I was truly impressed by all the thoughtful details they’ve considered and how well they take care of their guests. On my first night back, I experienced mild altitude sickness. They gave me clear guidance on how to handle it, offered me extra apples after learning I planned to have only fruits for dinner (since I had little appetite), and advised me on what to watch out for, knowing that I was planning to climb the snow mountain (if I felt well enough) the next day. What touched me even more was when the owner knocked on my door about 15 minutes later, bringing me some bread and a packet of milk for breakfast the next morning — to take along for my climb — since I had told her not to prepare breakfast as I’d be leaving early. 🥺 She even mentioned that if I needed anything during the night, her siblings would be on standby and I could always call her. At that moment, the inn truly felt like home. I would highly recommend this inn to all travellers, especially solo travellers. I felt completely safe here, and I hope you’ll get to experience the same warmth, care, and comfort during your stay. 😊

The hotel is clean and modern. The room is spacious, with a bathtub, smart bidet in the toilet, and a heater inside the room. Very comfortable stay. The owner is kind and very helpful. Location is convenient, close to Zhongyi bus stop (for Bus 101 to JDSM), near the Old Town, and also near halal restaurants. Highly recommended!

The room was beautiful, neat, and spotless — very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was large, modern, and equipped with a bidet. Bath salts were provided for the bathtub, and a pomegranate was offered as a welcome gift — big and sweet. We received a warm welcome from the owner, who had limited English skills but was very friendly and advised us not to fall for overpriced tourist traps. The accommodation is located right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town, so we could easily stroll around and enjoy the lively atmosphere at night. The area is clean and well-maintained, with the streets beautifully lit up in the evening. The owner even provided a trolley to carry our luggage and personally helped transport everything to our room on the first floor — truly thoughtful service.

We are an elderly couple travelling free and easy to Yunnan. The owner, aka十三少 (many siblings and cousins work together) connected with me before my arrival vi wechat. He met us at the entrance to the Lijiang ancient city and used a trolley to carry our luggages (passing clobbered grounds) to the inn, which was just a very short walk. The location of the inn was great, just at the edge of the ancient city and offered a quiet stay. The room was spacious, equipped with a shower area and a bathtub too. We also did our laundry inside the room as there was a mini washer/dryer inside our room. We felt relaxed staying at this inn, chatting and drinking tea with 十三少. He even invited us to a supper of barbecue at night. The shop next door also belongs to the owner and they sell reasonable priced teas and other stuff. My husband saw and bought good quality cordyceps from him (btw he did not hard sell to us). Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we visit Lijiang.

Very friendly and helpful host! Love the hospitality. Location of the hotel was good within the ancient town but also at the edge, near to the main road. Hotel was clean and nice. Highly recommended!

Room is good. Location is at the quiet side of the ancient city. Breakfast is very sad, less choice and not tasty. Will look for other hotel if I go to Lijiang again.
