Lijiang Ancient Town - Green Willows Inn. recensioner

What a gem!! This hotel is right smack in the old town but near enough to the main road for easy transportation. Love the room - it has a bath, shower, and lo & behold, a bidet!!! Everything is within a walking distance, plus it has an awesome view of the mountains from the rooftop! Definitely worth staying here! ❤️

We had a very pleasant stay here. The staff were extremely helpful and even waited for us at the main road to guide us in. The location is excellent – very convenient and close to the main road, so it was easy to bring our luggage. It’s also within walking distance to many halal restaurants, which was a big plus for us. Our room was very comfortable, with a cozy bed and pillows. The bathroom was spacious, and the toilet had a bidet. The only minor issue was with the water temperature – it was sometimes difficult to control, often coming out very hot. Overall, a great stay with wonderful service and a convenient location. Highly recommended.

The property was not well maintain. The toilet bowl was unable to flow. Toilet paper prohibited to fluid in the toilet bowl. Service staff unable to provide requested items as toilet paper and clothes washing detergent in time.

The hotel location is near the main road so we can easily book didi during our trip. Although our room look quite old, but we have a nice stay during our trip. The host is super nice and always respond faster when we ask anything. Might stay here again if we come to Lijiang the next time.

The room is nice and pretty. Location is also very good, the front door leads you to the ancient town and the back door is near to the main street so it is easy to call Didi and carry your luggage. For muslim, a few halal restaurants are walking distance. The owner is also very helpful. Answers all my questions and even help to sort out things we ask. The only cons is that the bed is a bit hard but everything else is good 😄

The location was great which is just beside the southern gate. Near to Halal food and ancient town. The host, Zhou also very attentive and keep attending us whenever he see us. Even offer tea at all times.

The location is slightly away from the busy ancient town. But the back door is just behind the main road and the front.door will.lead you to the ancient town. Very convenient to get a taxi or pick ups to go for your tour. Also there are a few halal eateries nearby. Which i think is very important for muslim travellers. So you should book this hotel if halal food is your priority. The rooms are clean and well maintained but the beds are a bit on the hard side. They also provide a washing machine for you to do your laundry. The hotel owner is pleasantly nice, he is always around to answer your questions via wechat or if you like to book any packages he is ready to assist. 🙂

It was 3 minutes walk from the north gate of ancient town to the back door of the hotel. Please note that the owner will help you carry the luggages, but if it is too many, you need to carry the rest by your own. There's a stairs that need to be climbed down before you reach the hotel. The hotel is located at the corner of the town, so it can get quite scary if there is no other person stays in the hotel other than you. The main door will connect you to the ancient town but not the center of it. You still need to walk more to reach the centre of the ancient town.

I give 10 stars! Xiao Qu, the boss was very warm, friendly and really took a great care of us while we were staying there. He made us feel right at home. Before we arrive, he chatted with us to ask our whereabouts, sent the drop off location and to tell that he would pick us up. When we arrived, he handled our luggages, offered us tea and made the check in process very quick because we were tired from travelling all day. We also booked JDSM tour with him so that was very convenient for us. The view from the balcony was so breathtaking. The pictures didn’t do it justice. As for the room, everything was great. They had both air conditioning and heater which was convenient. The boss also asked beforehand if the room needed to be cleaned or not, which was very convenient for us who liked to sleep in after long day of sightseeing. There was also washing machine for guests to use, free of charge. They also have two very cute cats! More importantly, the back door is close to main road and main door leads you right into the ancient city, which is super easy for us to wait for taxi or get into the ancient city. And for Muslims, there are a few halal restaurants just a few minutes walk from the inn. Every time we came back from our walks, the boss would greet us and it put a smile on our faces. On our last night there, we had tea and chatted with him. He was indeed a warm person, and funny too! Not to mention, handsome 🤭 If I ever come back to Lijiang (I will!), I would stay at this inn again 🤍 Please consider this inn, it is truly a hidden gem!
