A Delightful Stay in the Heart of Lijiang Ancient City I had a wonderful experience staying at Baishui Fang Historical House, perfectly located just a short stroll from Market Square in Lijiang Ancient City. What truly made the stay unforgettable was the outstanding hospitality of Mr. Jin, who went out of his way to ensure everything was seamless. He arranged our airport pickup, assisted with navigating the maze-like cobblestone alleys to transfer our luggage, and warmly welcomed us with tea. Mr. Jin also helped us book excursions to Tiger Leaping Gorge and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain through a trustworthy and reasonably priced tour operator. The rooms are tastefully designed in traditional Chinese style, and the beds were very comfortable. For the first three nights, we stayed in a charming room without a balcony. On the fourth night, we moved to one with a lovely balcony view overlooking the ancient city. Overall, cleanliness was good, though there's a bit of room for improvement. One suggestion: both rooms had glass bathroom doors, which offered limited privacy. I recommended adding a curtain or frosted film, and also suggested installing a water bidet for extra convenience. Despite these minor issues, I highly recommend Baishui Fang Historical House for its character, excellent location, and above all, the genuinely warm and attentive service. I’d be happy to stay here again.

Love the services like providing medicated foot soak, fridge storage and heating up of food. Reception has herbal tea and good recommendations by staff. room is as pic and comfortable. Location easily accessible.

location very superb....the service from jin is 5 star...pickup n drop off is free from hotel..location near of the all viral place ....just call the hotel if u need help..the will assist you...

Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. It was very unexpected that our room was not tidy up when we got back from outside. When asked why never clean up the room & be informed it is for room guests privacy purposes. Cleaning room only upon requesting by room guests. I'm a bit disappointed with their privacy policy. Another issue is the hotel owner should provide free shuttles for luggage transportation..not being requested only provided. I hope the owner can improve their policy to attract customers to return in the future. Anyway Andy has done his best to customers! Thank you for your help in the luggage transportation arrangement in order for us to catch our train in time in the early morning! Thank you so much!

Outdoor & exterior is interesting. For the clear day, you can see the light of the hill in the night time. Room size is a bit too small. No place for luggage. Bedding is good. Closet and storage is not practical. Toilet is small no hooks to hang even towels. Water pressure is good and stable. The balcony on top is quite interesting but for the cold day, we didn’t use it. The hotel is just off the main shopping pedestrian a bit which is good is more privacy. Owner & Staff are good caring and  especially Jin-he is a super service mind. When we just arrived at the inn, they invited us to have tea and planning our trips. We have a bit trouble of the window cannot close it and the cold wind is keep coming to the room so they try to correct and move us to the new room. The inn needs to maintenance. Overall, I happy to be here because they take good care. 

It was very unique experience being at Old Town, Lijiang. The fact that we stayed at this place, made it even more memorable. The location is very close/walkable to square street of the Ancient town. The room is spacious with hot shower and all basic amenities working properly. Specially the mattress was great and made us sleep like babies. :) Another important part of the experience was the hosts, mainly Andy. He was always available via WeChat and was very helpful all the way. We had language barrier, but with translator apps we made it work. Andy helped us with directions, taking us to food places even when many places were closed & we were facing a -1 degree celsius temperature, made us tea that kept us warm and many other act of generosity and overall being a very good host. The place and amenities get 9/10 plus extra few points for the hosts Andy & his colleagues.

The location is in the middle of the old town, excellent service and value for money for a basic hotel.

We had a wonderful stay in the heart of Ancient Town. Andy reached out to us a day before our arrival to confirm our booking and transportation details. He was incredibly helpful in arranging our pickup and drop-off service between the train station and hotel, making our travel hassle-free. Upon arrival, he warmly welcomed us with a Chinese tea, setting a great first impression. Thorough our stay, he provided helpful directions and patiently answered all our questions. The nighttime view from the balcony was absolutely stunning - you and relax while enjoying the beautiful lights of the Ancient Town. Thank you, Andy, for the excellent service and hospitality. We truly appreciated it!

This is my first time in Lijiang. Mr. Andy contact me days before we arriving from Kuala Lumpur to arrange for pick up at train station. But due to my WeChat aps error, we go to the hotel by DiDi and he picked us from the entrance and helped us with the bags as the old city not accessible direct by car. While we were checking in he made us tea, which was really nice. The hotel is very beautiful, just in the center of Lijiang Old Town. You can go out and stroll. The room and environment is beautiful, comfortable and clean and also all the essential are there. The whole staff of the hotel were really nice and always there for me for all the service that I need especially Mr. Andy. He taking care of us. He helped me reserving a trip to the snow mountain & Tiger Leaping Gorger. Mr. Andy led us to the meeting point in the morning. Very good of him. Mr. Andy arrange driver to send us to the train station on our last day in Lijiang. I highly recommended staying at this hotel and will never regret the experience. Will definitely choose here for my next visit to Lijiang To Mr. Andy, thank you so much for your help and kindness. Till we meet again

Highly recommended to stay in this Hotel. The owner Michael, and the staff name Andy is very helpful and friendly. They upgrade my room to the bigger room for free 🥰 My kids also love this place a lot. ❤️ Location of this hotel, very nearby to the center of Ancient Town Lijiang. Just 3min walking.

This is a very beautiful hotel. The staff has helped us a lot, especially Andy. Here, we tasted delicious mushroom soup and unique Naxi stir-fry. We also went to Yulong Snow Mountain, which left a deep impression on me. My friend will come to Lijiang this month, and he will also stay in this hotel. I think Andy will take good care of my friend.

Staff friendly. Nice location, walkable to ancient town. Makan muslim pun senang juga. Tapi kene jalan for few mins sepanjang kedai2 lain dekat town tu. Their service paling top notch. Membantu semua serba serbi.
