This hotel is conveniently located for catching transportation to other destinations and is situated right in Gucheng. However, based on my experience staying for more than two nights, the room was not clean. The toilet and sink were stained, and most importantly, the hot water was not working for two days (with the weather between 6–11°C). On the first day, the owner said the hot water would be fixed by 10 PM. When I messaged to follow up at 10 PM, they replied to wait a moment. I waited until nearly midnight and messaged again but got no response—so I couldn’t shower that night. The next morning, they assured me the hot water would be working by 10 PM that night. After a long day of traveling outside the city, I returned and got ready to shower. But again, by 10:30 PM, there was still no hot water (and the water was freezing). I went out to ask the staff directly. They said to wait a moment. Within 10 minutes, they came and asked if it was okay to take me to another hotel to shower (it was past 11 PM). With no other choice, I went. Although the hotel wasn’t far, it was still inconvenient. That said, I appreciate the staff member who took me there, waited while I showered, and brought me back to the hotel. They also gave me a tea brick as an apology. In addition, on the first day I arrived, I couldn’t find the hotel. I tried calling, but no one answered. There was also no guidance or offer to help with luggage pickup, even though the streets in Gucheng are very difficult to walk through with suitcases.😷
