the hotel is really near to the Ancient Town (south gate). halal restaurant is also nearby. only few mins to the Lijiang bus station and Lijiang railway station (~20mins car ride)

I stayed at this hotel for two nights from October 24 to 26. I was fortunate that the DiDi driver called ahead and asked the hotel staff to wait for me near the gate in front of Lijiang Ancient Town’s South Gate; otherwise, it would have been difficult to find. In fact, the hotel is located just about 200 meters across the road from the South Gate entrance. The hotel itself is acceptable, and the manager kindly upgraded our room from two single beds to one large bed and one small bed to accommodate our group of three. I did not book the cable car and entrance tickets to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in advance, so I asked the manager if he could assist. He offered to help and quoted approximately 500+ yuan per person (around RM300+), which seemed quite high compared to prices on Trip.com, where similar packages average RM200–RM250 (about 420 yuan). Initially, he said the price included transportation, cable car access, the Impression Lijiang show, and a short visit to Blue Moon Valley with its lake and waterfall. When I made the payment (despite feeling it was overpriced), he suddenly informed me that the show was not included, and he only provided the agent’s contact information at the last minute. On October 26, we were picked up in an older van, which was fine. The local guide, though she didn’t speak English, was very kind and helpful throughout the tour. Before heading to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, we left our luggage at the hotel since we had to rush to Shangri-La afterward. We check out early (8am), before the office opened, and left our bags outside as instructed by the assistant, who said it was okay. We assumed he would bring them inside. However, when we returned to collect them, the bags were still outside unattended. Fortunately, nothing was stolen, but this was poor handling and a security concern. Due to the overpriced tour package, lack of transparency, and improper luggage storage, I will likely not stay at this hotel again.

Our room was on the 4th floor. Unfortunately the shower head was broken and water was sprouting all over. The boss suggested we shift to another room on the second floor. The room was big and spacious for 2 persons. Very well located and near to old town. However, the room has seen better days and need to be renovated. The wooden sofa is clearly covered with dust. The bath room too need to be makeover. Otherwise I had a pleasant stay. The owner was very friendly though and offered us mandarin oranges everyday. Still recommend the place but bare in mind the short comings l mentioned earlier. Would be a great place to stay when the upgrade the room. I hope they do it soon. Yeah there is a lift available and the cobble stone road to the main street is just about 50 m away easy on the luggage wheel.

Very convenient, amazing location. Feels more like a homestay, but staff was nice and friendly! Lots of sights, shops, and food as Lijiang Ancient Town is directly opposite. Overall, a comfortable stay!
