The staff were exceptionally accommodating and caring, they helped us get tickets and taxis and were patient with our requests.
The rooms were spacious, even the smaller ones, and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom is a nice size as well, although the water pressure isn't great, you can at least expect really hot showers.
Every evening, when we got back to our rooms, a warm soup was waiting for us, which was very soothing and perfect to wind down for the night.
For breakfast you have the option to have the local MiXian noodles or congee with extras; a simple but filling breakfast that makes you feel ready for the day ahead.
Lastly, they transported our luggage from the hotel to the entrance of the Ancient Town, which is very convenient. You may also request this service upon arrival to the Ancient Town, and they will pick up your bags whilst you have a look around.
We definitely would recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful 1 week stay at 素隐堂 in Lijiang. The homestay exudes a cosy charm while offering modern comforts. Hosts 小帅 and 景阳 were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home with their thoughtful recommendations and hospitality. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and the tranquil courtyard was perfect for relaxation. The breakfast provided was homely and delicious. With its prime location within Lijiang Old Town, 素隐堂 is an ideal choice for an authentic and comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

This is our hotel view at night. The hotel staff were very helpful! They picked us up and carried our bags from the taxi drop-off point to the hotel, and the same thing happened when we checked out. They informed us about what to do and not do, and advised us on which package we should take. Thank you for the great service, and we will definitely come back one day when visiting Lijiang again! ☺️

Great place to stay in the 古城.. the owner still walk out the main street to pick us up personally incase we lost the way as we check-in around 9pm after the sightseeing.. we have some yummy sweet soup daily to prevent high attitudes sickness.. 7 mins route to the stay include a slight slope n steps so just need to walk slow.. as they will arrange transport for luggage to the main entrance

Butler was helpful//waited for us to help with luggages before and after our stay.
Breakfast is good, came with soy milk with is good for lactose intolerant people.
Location is in the city area but the noise before 12am can be quite loud as it is located near drinking area.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make our visit special. We especially loved the tea time—it was such a thoughtful touch. they will contact you in advance and help you to carry your luggage as the road is very bumpy and quite a distance from the town entrance. Great location, the hotel is located in the middle of the town. The room is clean, aesthetic and the bed comfortable. Overall is a great stay!

Location is excellent, inside ancient City, 3mins walk to the exit for Taxi or bus and 1min walk to the most crowded street inside the ancient City, very convenient. The owner is super friendly, always invite us for Tea-Chat, very relaxing trip. Owner also very considerate welcome us at the entrance and send us to take the bus tour. Feel very warm every night they serve the dessert, the Breakfast although is just a simple noodle or porridge but it is very delicious. Will highly recommend to my friend.

My recent stay at this hotel was fantastic. The room was clean and well-maintained, with modern amenities that made our stay very comfortable. The cosmetics provided in the bathroom were of high quality and added a nice touch to our stay.
The bed was also very comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. We had to leave early in the morning, and the staff kindly provided us with a pack away breakfast, which was a thoughtful gesture.
We had booked a one-bedroom room, but they also provided us with an extra quilt which was much appreciated. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
