Food at restaurant was excellent staff was friendly and everything was clean

I don’t really like making bad reviews, I feel bad when I do but this was particularly very hard. I’m an Ohio born and raised & reside in California now because of the military; I came down for a funeral of my niece who passed over the last weekend in August. I booked through a military service website & the great reviews were really promising. My issues: Toilet Tank is leaking into the floor Black Mold present shower ceiling Bathtub is clogged and collects water Stained sheets and pillows Strange hair clippings all over the beds Walls are filthy and filled with a jam like pasty substance? (Poptart??) Door cosmetics are chipped Carpet staining is prevalent on all floors including room Place cards & advertisements in room are sticky or dirty Ice tray & coffee bar; as well as fridge are dirty with crumbs. Pros: Front desk is quick to fix and understanding, they switched my bedsheets out immediately as soon as I called. As for the rest, I am unfortunately not in the mental state to really care as I am mourning, but it’s important that this review is to give understanding to take care of the health of the building for people who need it when all else is not ok.

This is the worst Holiday inn I have ever been in. I am diamond elite and this will be the first time I call IHG corporate. Other reviews are accurate. Nasty towels, broken bed, stained curtains, door is a mess, shower head sprays in many directions. DO NOT come here… motel 6’s are better than this. Go to the Holliday in a little down the road. It’s nice. STAY AWAY from this place… go to the hole in a wall travel lodge here before this health hazard.

The hotel was acceptable but their hot breakfast was pathetic. just some egg patties with a slice of cheese in the middle. The second morning of our stay we went the the Bob Evans for breakfast. We often choose a hotel by its breakfast. A good breakfast saves us money even if we pay a little more for the hotel. We will not be staying at this Holiday Inn again because of that.

Our first impression was the door frame to our room that appeared to have been damaged by someone trying to open the lock with with a crowbar! Very bad! Our second impression was that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Yay. Our last impression was when we went down for breakfast at 7AM only to find that there WAS NO BREAKFAST AND NO EXPLANATION. Unforgiveable!

I’ve bad experiences with Holiday Inn properties in the past; with hesitation I booked this property for business. The room given to me was manageable until I looked closer. Once I took pictures of what appeared to be some type of bodily fluid on the night stand; I was even more disgusted when I lifted the toilet seat. This was unmistakably blood from…..let’s just say a feminine hygiene product. I couldn’t do it, went to the front desk and explained what is going on. Apparently his only course of action was to move me to another room. This room wasn’t much better, thankfully I didn’t notice any bodily fluids. I was on the fence about grabbing my suitcase and not staying here. I feel at this point this is exactly what I should’ve done. I will be sleeping on top of the covers in my clothes. I hope the shower has enough water pressure to make it out of the shower head. The water from the sinks are able to flow partially is I feel gravity is assisting. I guess I should not be this shocked, some things never change.

This was one of the worst IHG hotels I’ve ever stayed in. As soon as I walked in, I noticed a strong smell, covered up by too much deodorizer. Luckily, our hotel room was very clean and comfortable. Later that evening, when I went out to my car, there was ********* smell everywhere. Outside, in the lobby, in the elevator… I know the hotel can’t control with the cats do but it was overwhelming. But the worst was the next morning when I went to the workout room. The workout room was extremely dirty. There were no towels. Mold, growing in the ceiling tile, the mirror looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year and was full of drips and fingerprints. The baseboards were moldy and falling off. The treadmill was out of order. Then I started looking at the cleanliness of everything else. The coffee area was extremely dirty. The elevator buttons, all glass, etc. It looks like things have not been wiped down in months.

Room was clean but very musty smelling. Cleared up when we turned air on. Air conditioning was squeaky and needed to turn off to sleep. It was irritating and loud. Morning breakfast was good. Amenities were good. Again room clean and would return hoping air conditioning was quiet in other rooms.

Gave our room to someone else even though Booked 1st floor and called the hotel to confirm everything was set and was told it was. (booking goes threw call center) Blankets under bed cover holes and worn threw. Second floor at the elevators had blue rubber gloves covering fire detectors .( should of just called the Lima Fire Marchal ) Bar/lounge only open when ever with no sign (Saturday night closed before 8. I was in and out threw out the day with funeral obligations and didn't see it open at all) Asked manager to call me at check in and it NEVER happened. Called corporate explained what happened give me a complaint confirmation number and a few points but Nothing else will happen. NO accountability at all. No wonder why people do not care and now take no pride where they work. I do understand this is a older building (no usb ports for charging) and things get stained and it looks old/dirty. But I would never recommend a place that has no pride or accountability and is so willing to just shrug it off . If you are looking for a place to just sleep a few hours this is your place (nothing to offer you but a bed). If you are looking to spend a few days and are looking for a stress free safe place to stay This is not the hotel for you
