Duke William Hotel

Excellent hotel and location in Lincolns historic and cultural centre. Warm, friendly attentive staff. Nothing too much trouble. Our room was immaculately presented. Nice touches with bottle still and spring North Wales waters plus a couple of chocolate chip cookies wrapped in brown parchment to take home. We opted to dine in the restaurant in the evening. Excellent rib eye steak and, my wife's fish dish hit the mark as well. Breakfast next morning tasty, hot traditional English breakfast. Only minor detail they forgot our orange juice and some cutlery for our cereal. All in all a high class stay. We'll recommend Ed.

My husband and I - from Australia - spent 3 days and nights in Lincoln in late September. Our accommodation at the Duke William was booked for us by our travel agent. We chose Lincoln as a transit venue from the Cotswolds to Yorkshire and because we love history. Lincoln was ideal and the hotel was in a great location near Lincoln Castle in the old part of town. Free parking on site was a bonus for us. The ambience of the hotel and the accommodation was wonderful, amenities all top quality and great service. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a drink. Due to a mistake made by the staff we were told that our table in the bar was needed by someone else. Found another table and tried to order food but only to be told I couldn’t but other tables I. The bar was ordering food. Staff barged past without saying excuse me. Manner cost nothing. Very poor experience

2 night stay for youngest daughter's graduation. Hotel is ideally situated for the castle and cathedral where the graduation ceremony takes place. We had drinks and snacks one evening which was lovely. Lots of drinks to choose from in the bar. The hotel is lovely, very quirky and olde worldly. Room was spacious with plenty of storage, lovely en suite (drains gurgled in the morning but probably due to everyone in hotel showering at the same time!) There were 3 fans in the room (2 tower and 1 desk) which would be needed in height of summer but also large sash window that opens. Bed very comfy, tea and coffee facilities and a handmade cookie!! Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The is a lovely quirky place with creaky floors and old world charm. The room was lovely and cozy with a welcome cookie alongside our tea and coffee. Had a meal here in the evening which was lovely. The menu had enough choice and prices are very reasonable. Although rooms above the pub there was no noice problems. Staff are excellent - friendly and attentive. It's in a great location if you're wanting to be at the top of Steep Hill or don't mind the climb.

Highly recommend this hotel, perfect location, spotless, comfortable, amazing staff, very popular for eating and drinking, great would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful breakfast. Thank you for making our weekend in beautiful Lincoln wonderful

Thank you! It was a 10 out of 10 for the hotel , food, and accommodation. Great hotel, we will definitely go back Lincoln is a beautiful city to visit very pretty and very lold and historical. Lots to do plenty of shops bars restaurants and walks.

Hotel staff nice, room clean! Walls paper thin, but very old building! Not the comfiest of beds! Hotel food ace! Lovely old bar & popular amongst locals. Location spot on. Old Lincoln is lovely and this hotel is located within it which is prefect! 199% recommend for city break!
