The Inn at Ocean's Edge

Stayed for 4 nights.The location is amazing.The view from the infinity pool out into the bay was breathtaking. Rooms nicely appointed. Breakfast offered many choices and delicious specials.Every member of the staff was kind ,professional and caring. It is a bit of a hike to get to main building from the back rooms but the view is spectacular from the remote building. Erika , Sea Dawg and especially the Manager Mark made a positive , want to return impression. There was a slight issue with housekeeping which Mark more than rectified. Thank you all who made our stay very special!!

Stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. Really nice hotel with a very relaxed homey feel. The breakfast was fabulous. Coffee is self serve and then you sit at one of the tables overlooking the water and order off of a menu. The chef will make you anything your heart desires and you can have as much as you want. The food was very good. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Will definitely come back here next year when we can go in the pool.

Upon arrival the sign was not lit at the road, almost missed the turn. The lights were off on the path leading down to the inn-very windy road + completely black. Lights at pool and hot tub were also not working. Couldn’t use either of them after dark. We brought up the issue with the front desk twice and were told it would be looked at but there was “no guarantee.” In my opinion the way it was handled was not very professional. Although the manager did apologize to us personally, there was no offer to fix it or offer of reimbursement/compensation. The pool & hot tub was a major deciding factor between the inn and another hotel, so was pretty disappointing. For the price - EVERYTHING should be in working order Also the last night we stayed we were woke up by the FIRE already going off and a smell of burnt food or smoke..? The front desk person had left (leaves at10) so we dialed 0 to reach the on site managers staying at a different building. They came with flashlights to check out why the alarm went off. Guests were walking around in pajamas and very concerned. After about 10 minutes we were told everything was fine and to go back to our rooms, but NO explanation given which was kind of unsettling. Between the lights and the fire alarm I am wondering about wiring issues..?? We have stayed at the inn previously, and had a better experience 3 yrs ago. After this, we may not go back. I had hoped for an adjustment to my final bill or SOMETHING to be offered- but nothing was don to right the experience we had.
