West Port Hotel

Back again at the Westport, had an amazing Christmas meal with my mates, they had everything set up, made it a really festive atmosphere for us. I’d highly recommend people come here, best meal we’ve had in a while. Staff were amazing and just a great day in Linlithgow.

Worst stay we have ever had. Loud music till 2am, black mould in the toilet, room not cleaned during our visit, towels not changed, bins not emptied. The room just looks tatty and neglected.only plus side is the location in the middle of town.

From the time we arrived for one night , we saw a car park [public] behind the Place and was so worried about leaving the car ,We did NOT WANT TO STAY HERE ! I asked if all was well with the Car Park he said i have worked here for 6 years and no trouble , the problem is he NEVER STAYED THERE DURING THE NIGHT! We we where worried . Then we went to room 6 up the filthy stairs, thru the knocked about doors ,to a small room for 3 Adults ,and the Bathroom , no more than 3 feet wide and 5 feet long , just big enough for one ! I stayed awake all night worrying about the Car , after seeing all kinds of Filthy VAPS on the Night CLUB roof from weekend Parties . The evening meal we had LAMB RUMP and we sent it back uncooked !The breakfast at 0730am ? nearly never happened , we were down at 0730am , and ordered right away , the girl who cooked the breakfast came at 0830am , their was only 5 of us in , at 0830 am still no breakfast 2 WALKED OUT , AND WHERE DISGUSTED , LIKE US YOU COULD FIND no one about we eventually had ours at 0831 . THEIR WAS A CLEANER PRETENDING TO DUST THE PICTURES FOR NO REASON , THE PLACE WAS FILTHY , WE HAD TO SEARCH FOR SOMEONE TO HAVE OUR KEY and to se if we had a receipt [no receipt] , then two workman came to do the floor tiles whist we where eating , then we just scarpered along with the other guest . I want a REFUND IT IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED , YOU ARE A DISGRACE FOR SCOTLAND ,the other 8 Hotels were ok .

Popped in for a bite to eat whilst in the area meeting friends. The service we received from kimberley was excellent, she was very knowledgeable when asked about the menu. Food came out in a good time and it looked and tasted great. We will definitely be back

Absolutely fab from the minute we arrived. Check in was so pleasant & upto our beautiful room in 2 minutes... room was so clean warm & bed so comfy. All staff are so nice & very cheerful, the food was amazing as ever but the best part was dessert (signature sticky toffee pudding with popcorn & a miniature btl of bayles 👍 can't wait to return in the new year 😘

We stayed for one night, when we checked in the manager was okay, he took us to our room but did not offer us help with our luggage. The room was extremely small the qui.t from one bed got caught in the door. There was6 steps from the door to the window.,the toilet was tiny you could sit in the toilet and wash your face at the same time. We could not eat in the hotel as the only options for a gluten free vegetarian was salad( really in December) I asked if they could do a jacket potato and was told no. I then asked about breakfast and was told there was no gluten free option. I thank the under manager(Martin) who went to Tesco to buy gluten free rolls. I know this was not expensive but I really found this in poor condition the window was in poor condition, the curtains did not close properly. There was tea/coffee but very difficult to access due to lack of space. I was not aware this hotel was not maned overnight, had I known that I would not have booked. I definitely would not return.
