As a family we travel a lot and this hotel was disappointing. From the photos it looked like in was in a lovely location right next to the Danube and yes, it was right beside the river but that's all it was beside. It was not within walking distance of the city centre. The 27 bus does take you directly to the centre and the bus stop is only a 5min walk from the hotel but it is not a very nice walk especially when it was dark at night. I would imagine it would be a very lonely and unsafe walk on your own. When we arrived the first night it was late as our flight had been delayed. We got to the hotel around midnight and the two male receptionnists were smoking at the entrance to the hotel. They also were not the friendliest, no offer of pleasantries...."enjoy your stay etc". The rooms themselves were just ok, the decor quite drab and old-fashioned, particularly the carpet, and there were no USB posts which should be a must in this day and age. The bathrooms were clean and satisfactory. Every morning we were woken early by the housekeeping staff talking out loud with no consideration that guests may be trying to sleep. I can't comment on breakfast as we did not have any in our 3 night stay. This hotel is supposed to be 4 Star but in my opinion it is very far away from that. I would not recommend this hotel especially if you are not driving :(

Located on the edge of town - with a view of the Danube if you pay extra - this is an average hotel. You get what you pay for, that includes car parking. There is limited free on-street parking available but you'll have to fight for it. The wifi was free, but limited in speed and data capacity. The room: A bit tired, in particular the bed, which made a strange squealing noise every time we got in or out, as it it was an air mattress. The pillows were polyester and sweaty. The rooms don't have AC but there was a ceiling fan to blow the mosquitoes around (did I mention it's close to the river?).

Two night in this traditional hotel near Danube. Hotel is big, quite, clean but had some small things which is not OK from four stars hotel. First of all, room is big with all necessary but toilet haven't any ventilation, room without a/c /they have roof ventilator!/. Hotel is near highway to Praha, not so far from pedestrian zone in center. Big hotel, but small restaurant, and ONE coffee machine /5 min to bring coffee /! Really for four star hotel is unacceptable .Staff is very kind and ready to answer on your questions and help.

Stayed there during my Austria visit, it is a nice big and clean hotel, with a steam bath that I enjoyed very much, cozy and spacious rooms and great and tasty breakfast - huge selection of food there! Easy to get around and to the center, friendly staff.

The hotel was a short bus ride from the Old City Center, but right along the Danube river and its bike path. Dinner on the terrasse was of good quality and the morning breakfast buffet was Awesome! We were traveling by bike, and the hotel had special parking available for them. The staff were very gracious when we arrived; hot and sweaty from riding 40 miles in 90-degree heat!

This hotel might be on the banks of the Donau, but it is in the middle of an industrial/chemical estate, way out of Linz city centre. Lobby/reception is basic, rooms are a trek along a sort of walkway - like an inner city council estate - and are basic. As someone else says here, soundproofing is minimal. Food was all below par hotel buffet, with no veggie options. When I asked the manager what was provided for veggies, his reply was "there's rice and vegetables on the buffet, what more do you need?"! Lunch next day, which cost 19 euros, was previous nights buffet reheated...so no veggie options there, and second night dinner was just the same, but they did provide pasta (which seems to be the German/Austrian default option for vegetarians!) staff were surly and uncooperative, rooms were not cleaned until late afternoon, no in room coffee/tea making facilities, no irons, no real facilities

We enjoyed our stay here very much with one exception I will address at the end of the review. The room was adequate and comfortable. The bar was empty when we went in and a gentleman with a beard greeted us. I think he may have been the manager I never did get his name. He was very friendly and actually brought our food out to us later at dinner. The bartender Svetozar Hristov was the real star of the show here! He made excellent cocktails! For dinner we ordered the asparagus soup which had a ravioli in it? I thought this was odd and was just about to bite into it when my husband stopped me and said don't! It had fish in it! Sure enough when we asked Svetozar about it he confirmed the ravioli had fish in it. I am VERY allergic to fish! I don't recall if it was on the menu but I don't think so as I would have not picked that for an appetizer. They remade the soup just for me! And it was AMAZING! There were also pieces of sardines in the ceasar and they made me one without them. One of the best salads I have ever had! Svetozar pointed out to me that there were fish in the salad. The service from the staff at this restaurant was exceptional! Thanks to Svetozar and the bearded gentleman they made it a very memorable dining experience. Afterwards we went for a walk along the banks of the Danube very relaxing. This is the only part of the whole hotel experience that really rubbed me the wrong way. So we went down for breakfast and the lady behind the counter asked for our room number. She then informed us we needed to go down and "pre-pay" for the breakfast. Wait, what? If I am going down to the front desk it will be to leave! We went upstairs grabbed out stuff and left and had breakfast in town, probly cheaper anyway. This part of the stay was NOT convenient and really annoying! We would have gladly paid at the restaurant or at checkout. An extra step just to eat seemed unwarranted and really aggravating! I think this should be changed! Thanks for the rest!
