Let me begin with a little back-story. Previously stayed at an Aloft in Oregon which was a wonderful experience so we expected the same. And got the exact opposite. Check in; the guy seemed uninterested. No free water, did not tell us anything about food, or the in-hotel bar, or share any helpful info at all. When we got to our room it was freezing cold. So, we can just adjust thermostat, right? Nope! it's behind a mirror. We go downstairs to complain. Same guy seems reluctant to change our room. He says the mirror thing is a design flaw. Which really makes you wonder, right? Once in our new room there was a rubber band with hair on it in the bathroom but rest of room looked okay. Just here for the night. Good thing too, since the music from the band could be heard through the walls until 2 a.m. or later. Poorly lit hallways and dirty carpets in hallways. There are restaurants across the street but not a lot of options nearby otherwise. Could not find a good coffee place nearby either. Ended up going cross town. Aloft, so much potential and you blew it!
