Baha Ammes Apartments

We have had another wonderful holiday at Baha Ammes apartments, Svoronata. We have been going to Baha Ammes for our holiday for thirty years. The apartments are comfortable, spotlessly clean and have everything needed to cook and serve food. The apartments are set in a beautiful garden in walking distance of Ammes beach, four restaurants and a mini market. George and Isminh are wonderful hosts and are kind and helpful. Ask George about his garden he can tell you about all the beautiful flowers. I must mention Rita who does the housekeeping, she keeps the apartments spotlessly clean and makes sure all the guests are comfortable, Looking forward to my next visit.

Arrived 29th September 2022 for 1 week When we arrived at Baha ammes, our eyes lit up, the entrance is a valley of flowers and plants from around the world, As we walked along, we were met by George, George is an absolute delight and very welcoming. George had put us in another apartment which was much bigger as he had the space. Everything you need, especially if you're looking for peace and quite. There was water, beer and a diet coke in the fridge for our arrival. There is a well stocked kitchenette, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, TV (we never used) hair dryer, free air conditioning and safe. Everything you require for a hassle fee stay We made breakfast every morning and sat out on the large outdoor area with a view of the stunning gardens. There is no hassle. Short walk to: The beach ⛱️ Beautiful, Ammes is shallow and the beach bar is well stocked. The planes going over is a height of entertainment. Bus Stop next to the Beach Resturants, Milos was our favourite, fresh fish every day. Walk a little further and there are bars. Highly recommended. We are definitely club George Jayne and Jon

I had a semi-basement apartment which in itself was totally adequate, and kept clean throughout my stay. The gardens are stunning and the location is fantastic for exploring the island or if staying within svoronata. The aircon was broken, and the owner immediately called an engineer, however it was unable to be repaired for my stay. I was given 2 desk fans which in all fairness, did not make up for air conditioning. As my flight was late departing I was given an alternative apartment to use after checkout which was very much appreciated so we could shower and freshen up before departure. On the whole the apartments are excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The owner is helpful and very approachable. The only downfall for me was the lack of air conditioning and the subsequent refusal of any recompense.

We booked a last minute 4 night break to Baha Ammes apartments after reading the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The airport is about 1.6km away and its worth checking the bus times as there is a bus that goes to Ammes for 2 euros and it takes about 5-10 minutes. We got a taxi and I would advise confirming the price before you travel (after reading reviews we said we had 15 euros and that's what we paid but on the way back they tried to charge us 25 euros which we refused and paid 15). When we arrived at Baha Ammes we were greeted by George and his wife and were amazed at the beauty of the gardens. We got a room upgrade and the apartment was immaculately clean with everything that you would need for a break including a little washing line, pegs and a torch. We really liked the authenticity of the apartments and having to shut the shutters in the evening. Being surrounded by nature in the garden felt like being in total paradise, we even had an outside shower to wash off the sand from the beach and it felt very invigorating. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and there is a beach bar and sun loungers for hire and it didnt get too busy when we were there. There is a good bus service to Lassi and Argostoli. Lassi has got a beautiful beach (its very expensive for a sun lounger as its more commercial) and restaurants and if you want to book any excursions there is a place to do this and its cheaper than in Argostoli. Argostoli is a lovely town with nice churches to visit and if you go to the harbour you will hopefully see the turtles. You can also get buses to other places on the island or a ferry over to Lixouri. Ammes is a quieter place and that's just what we wanted, there are 2 mini supermarkets and about 4-5 places to eat. If you like walking there is a lovely beach about 20-30 minutes away called Ai Helis that has got clear blue turquoise water and you go past a little port where you can hire boats but its quite expensive. The sunsets are incredible and if you go to eat at Koutoupos Paradise or Milos you can soak in the views over a lovely meal. We could not fault our stay at Baha Ammes and thank you to George and his wife for giving us some peace and tranquilly. We can tell how much your beautiful garden means to you and its nice for people to be able to share its beauty.

We stayed at Baha Ammes in August - 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. We were so pleased with our accommodation. Everything was spotlessly clean, fresh towels and bedding changed every few days. The gardens were even more impressive when you're there than photos we'd viewed online. There were so many rare beautiful plants lovingly cared for, that created a calming and tropical paradise, which is just what you want when you're on holiday! The family of resident tortoises were also nice to see! George and his wife Ismini couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, they were the perfect hosts. The location is also perfect - short walk to the beach, two local shops for all your groceries, several tavernas and the hotel next door called Astra Village is also a short stroll if you fancy a drink at the poolside bar. Will definitely be back!

couldnt ask for any better from a holiday, beautiful setting and very peaceful, we were given a 2 bedroom apartment, even though we booked a 1 bedroom, felt very at home, its no surprise this place has 5 star reviews,our flight back wasnt until 6pm, but george the owner was happy for us to stay until our flight and even gave us a lift to the airport!
