Celestial Hotel Luxury Suites and Spa

We stayed earlier this year when the hotel had not long opened for the season and, whilst some were still learning their roles, the overall presentation of the hotel and quality was second to none. You are not going to get fully traditional Greek food, but they don't advertise that and you still have the option of going elsewhere occasionally if you prefer. We ate out twice and the food wasn't actually as good and cost a lot! We enjoyed sitting at the restaurant next to the bar and pool and enjoyed the relaxed dining experience. The salads alone are worth eating there. The breakfasts are also fantastic. Lots of choice The room and balcony with plunge pool will be hard to beat anywhere and the main pool and sun loungers top class. We just loved the relaxing atmosphere, the location, the views and would love to return. If you want bustling nightlife and entertainment this one might not be for you, but if you want relaxation and class, then it most definitely is.

We like beach holidays and as this property is quite far to the beach and they had no transportation to take you to a nearby beach we were not impressed, on the other hand the service below par and food is below average, it is suitable for people who like to stay by the swimming pool and have a quite and cheap holiday,Do NOT book direct, book it thru JET 2 or similar companies the price difference is Huge.

If you are after nightlife this is not the hotel for you. It is in a very quiet area of the island . The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage and a seating area as well as a large patio with table and chairs, two comfortable sun beds and a plunge pool. Staff work hard to ensure you have a good stay and are very helpful. The breakfast is a buffet but omelettes and different styles of egg can be ordered freshly made. The half board evening meal is three buffet starters and a couple of salads which were all nice. Main course is a choice of four, I don’t eat meat but managed to choose something every night apart from one when I chose from the veggie menu. Dessert is a choice of three. It would have been nice to have ice cream as a choice occasionally. Portions were generous and tasty. Overall , a lovely relaxing week. The 70m pool is amazing and there are plenty of sun beds and Bali beds. We didn’t hire a car as we were happy to potter about and go down to the nearby beach and stay by the pool. Diana at the front desk sorted a coach tour of the island for us with one of the local firms. As with most Greek hotels there are some cats in the grounds, it is not overrun by any means but they do potter about sometimes. Staff are kind to the cats and gently shoo them away if they venture into a public area. We love cats so this wasn’t an issue for us.

This hotel is a very modern hotel opened recently. When we arrived there was a staff member who took our cases to our room while we had a welcome drink. We was driven on buggy to our room and aircon was explained to us, room was cool. Positive I 1) The welcome from the receptionist was a warm pleasant smile ask for passports. 2) pleasant welcome drink of Greek bucks fizz which I knocked over before taken a sip. Was all cleaned up by waitress and another was on the table. 3) The room is a modern room big bathroom with a big shower always hot nice basin mirror etc. It's a 2tier room nice big bed and fridge always filled with 2 bottles of water. Lower tier has a L shape settee and coffee table which had fruit and a bottle of wine with a nice note. Outside is 2 chairs and table with 2 comfortable sunbeds getting the sun and of course your own dip pool overlooking the countryside. 3) Breakfast is OK coffee's out of machine, teabag and hot water with various other flavors. There is your usual buffet style breakfast, yogurt, cereals, hot food, cheeses, croissants and cake. 4) The pool is longest I have ever seen in a hotel, with plenty of sunbeds around the pool all comfortably and with hotel staff for your orders, all the staff are well groomed and very polite. 5) Evening meals I can only say we had only one as we were only B&B but it was pleasant food. There seemed to be no atmosphere but that's down to the guests to make it. As a hotel it is great if your here for 5-7 days but if longer I suggest what most of the guests do go out and see kefalonia sites, beaches and taste the true kefalonia food, meet the people very friendly also much cheaper. A good restaurant to eat at is Dennis about a 10min walk from hotel, turn right then left down a single road and there it is facing the sea, great food ( taramasalata not pink and taste fantastic) There’s nothing to say wrong about this hotel everything is spotless and clean, staff very helpful food good but not for people who want the night life. This hotel is quite and peaceful a place to relax with a beer, G&T, cocktails watching the changing colours on the hillsides.

This was a terrible experience - constant noise from the pool filter spoilt the natural environment and ambience of this location. Asked to be moved several times and staff refused to help us, then would not and still haven't issued a refund. Staff were extremely rude to us on several occasions. Not worth the money.

Perfect place if you just want to relax , very clean and the views are incredible. Big thanks to the staff Maria , Diana , Nicola and Alexandra they were so helpful and always kind to us . We was on our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time . If there was anything to fault we would say the food could be a bit better ... thanks for a lovely time ❤️

The Hotel is much more attractive than it looks in the site. Our choice to come and stay here was absolutely successful and paid back in all aspects. Beautiful environment, with comfortable and well designed rooms. Relaxing facilities (GYM, SPA). Polite staff, efficient service. Excellent food with big variety. The huge public pool is a state-of-the-art construction. We spent 5 lovely days and we will came back soon

My wife and I returned from this hotel on 12th September (room 307) I don't usually write many reviews but this is one hotel that deserves credit. The quality of the room was excellent and cleaned well each day. Having your own pool is wonderful too if you don't want to go down and use the main pool. The main pool is one of the longest I've ever seen at a hotel, there's always sun beds available and the pool is never overcrowded. The staff from management down to cleaning staff are always helpful and go over and above to make your stay enjoyable. I can't remember all their names now but we'd like to say a big thank you in particular to Alexandra who was always warm and friendly at breakfast and kept us supplied with drinks around the pool. Also our waitress Fotini who served our evening meal every night with a smile. This hotel may not to be for everyone, but if you're looking for peace and quiet, don't mind walking to get to the beach, then it's the right place for you to just chill out. With only 40 rooms it makes it a very intimate experience. At night all that you hear is silence! Best wishes, Mike and Sue L

Had a brief (5 night) stay at Celestial Suites with Jet 2. We wanted a relaxing , quiet break and this is exactly what we got. Had a forest view room with small private plunge pool. The room was of a high standard, I think the hotel has only been open a couple of years and everything looks relatively new. All the rooms and public areas are kept spotlessly clean by the staff, with beautiful well maintained gardens around the hotel. Lovely main pool and bar area. We were on a bed and breakfast basis and had a car so we went out to local restaurants most nights, before returning to the hotel for a couple of drinks. Ate in the hotel restaurant on the last night and, although the menu was not very extensive, we both found things we liked and the food and service were excellent. Not much in the way of hotel entertainment in the evening but we were happy just to sit and relax. If you want a disco or karaoke hotel then this is not for you. All in all, would definitely recommend the Celestial Suites and certainly plan to visit again .
