Had a horrific journey up by train{well most of the way) until all trains cancelled at Crewe, no help from railway staff or organised onward journey... Arrived at the stonedale to Julie's warm welcome and young lad helpfulness getting me a taxi to my course and also explaining bus route directly outside the travel lodge into city centre. Thank you 👌

Had an overnight stay recently. Service wise,people skills are somewhat lacking,both when checking in and leaving. Staff seemed liked they didn’t want to be there,and it was reflected in their demure and somber demeanour and lack of engagement when trying to converse with them. There was almost a hostel/homeless vibe going in the small reception area. Room was spot on,modern,tidy,clean and just right for a short stay. Location,spot on,lot of amenities nearby and ample parking overall. Easy access to rest of the city.

The Travelodge has clean bedrooms and comfortable large beds with good quality bedding. Large walk in shower with plenty of hot water. Quiet room.

I am writing this on my final night, I have been staying since Monday, and this is my first solo hotel experience, as I have been visiting my father while he in hospital i needed something that was close budget-friendly and had food ( i have done a review on Q's kitchen and that entire review is apart of this review) nearby and this place was the closest and the cheapest but the value doesnt diminish this amazing place someone I need to thank is one of the late-night staff Julie, she is the loveliest woman ever and these past few nights has been open to having conversations, especially last night when I broke down crying at the front desk because of an amazing improvement . the thing with juilie she is so open and always has a smile on her face and that just brightens my nights that i spend on my own and this entire expirience in general. when checking in i was given a perfect guide on where my room was and i was exahusted and fell asleep right away. i wont lie the towels i was given were stained with some yellow and kind of put me off having a shower that first night especially after travelling and being in a hospital but i put that behind me. also i wont lie i do not enjoy the texture of the 2-1 hair and body was and the hand wash as it feels a bit to industrial to me and doesnt really add to the warming and welcoming vibe of the travelodge brand but thats just a small thing and isnt to big of a deal. but the shower is rather nice and gets hot and the pressure is perfect something else that i should mention is the beds .... omg they are so comfy and so worth it they offer extra pillows if needed and yes for me are definatly needed with my wierd sleeping position. i didnt really use the television whislt ive been here so i cant review much on that but I have paid 9 quid over 3 days for Wi-Fi, and I will be a bit upset because they don't offer a 12-hour tariff for 1.50. I think it might be easier for people who want Wi-Fi on their last night but don't want to pay for 24 hours. something that im not the biggest fan of is the wardrobe i didnt use it because im a suitcase traveler so its not a big deal. all in all im really happy with this place and again i cannot thank julie enough for everything she has done for me these past two night

Checking in was a doddle, smiling face from Julie on reception and very professional. We have all restaurants on our doorstep, free parking and a good night’s sleep. Well situated for all amenities, good route in and out of town, good, clean rooms.
