The Grafton Guest House

Well I am sorry to not go with the flow of 5 star reviews but I would have to suggest this guest house is Ok but less favourable that some might think. I have stayed in every guest house in this stretch of the Parade and was a bit disappointed in the breakfast arrangements. The rooms are excellent and the couple are good hosts but breakfast a disappointment. For starters I was given a time for breakfast, no choice in that as I have found elsewhere, and at breakfast I find you have have eggs however you like, just not fried. Whilst I appreciate they have a small hotplate in the kitchen (the owner tells me) they have a fried break fast without fried eggs, you have a choice of eggs however you want just not fried. Stopped at 30 hotels and guest houses in the last year and other than those who make clear they only do continental, never seen that before. On another note the use of milk cartons on the breakfast tables is also really not ideal. These are small touches but for a bit more effect breakfast here could be really good. Leaving aside my comments on breakfast arrangements an otherwise good stay.

For the fifth year we enjoyed a wonderful stay with Laurie and Paul at the Grafton. I cannot rate this small hotel enough would certainly give it more than 5 stars if I could. The rooms and breakfast are always first class, but what really makes this place stand out is Laurie and Paul, their personal, friendly touch never wavers, thank you for yet again a first class experience.

A fantastic stay with Laurie & Paul at The Grafton. Comfiest bed i've slept in and the breakfast is outstanding with great choice. The nicest hosts we've had the pleasure to meet, both Laurie and Paul are always happy to help and made the stay wonderful. Will definitely be staying again.

Super in every way. Warm and friendly hosts, Paul & Laurie. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom, great view of the sea, the promenade, Great and Little Orme’s. Top marks to Laurie for the best breakfasts I’ve ever had - great options and everything is freshly cooked to perfection. Parking is free at this part of the prom. Perfect location for exploring North Wales. Can’t praise it enough, which is why I come back year after year.

We had the pleasure to spend a couple of nights here during the May bank holiday Arrived early on the Friday and parked outside ,dropped our bags with Laurie Then set off to explore the pier, the great Orm cable cars & various attractions & pubs which was only a nice 15/20 minute stroll along the promenade Some time later when checking in we were shown to our lovely room on the top floor overlooking the seafront Where we shared a bottle of wine whilst staring out the window The Grafton has a nice couple of micro pubs nearby & a fantastic Italian restaurant Carlo’s Breakfast was in two sittings & was so well organized with plenty of choices I would always go & sit on the seafront bench opposite with a book, whilst also taking in the scenery, whilst Paul & Laurie was preparing our breakfast Hopefully we can come back to Llandudno in a couple of years time & will be looking to book here again Nigel & Michelle

We stopped for 2 nights when we came to see David Essex at Venue Cymru.Laurie and Paul were the perfect hosts.The breakfast was delicious and we had the best 2 nights sleep in a wonderful bed with really comfortable pillows. Would definitely stop again and would highly recommend to others.
