Best Western Plus Meridian Hotel

Wonderful hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable so we all had a good nights sleep. The kids loved the pool area with the slide. Breakfast was included with our booking and it was a great breakfast! There was something for everyone, from hot breakfast to waffles, cereal and yogurt. The staff was amazing, especially the kitchen staff. They went above and beyond helping my little guys make sure they had everything they needed to bring breakfast back to the room for daddy. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

From check in to departure I felt like a welcomed guest. Nice touches like a bottle of water and cookies, and quick check in helped set the stage. A clean, spacious, comfortable room made my stay even better. There was great water pressure and a decent hair dryer. Although I didn’t take advantage of breakfast, the selection was huge and it smelled great.

The best of the best. Friendly staff, great breakfast, comfortable beds, clean rooms and the best cookies. The hotel is surrounded by great restaurants, and connected to the recreational complex. We make this our home away from home every time we go to Lloydminster. We have told our friends and family and now they stay here as well.

If you are in the area you have got to choose this hotel! It was fantastic! The staff were extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. They made each part of our stay so wonderful and comfortable. The checkin and out went smoothly, and they were able to adjust to our schedule (e.g. late check-out). The cookies at the front desk in the evening was a hit with the kids. The facility is conveniently located by the local gym/hockey areas/booster juice. A raised pedway goes straight there. There is also tons of parking and lots of restaurants/gas stations around the area. The pool area was clean and had deck chairs to relax. The kids liked the fast water slide. (The water slide I would say is ideal for kids 7+. It was a bit of a deep entry for my younger ones, but they tried it too as long as I was ready at the bottom (no lifeguard—as in most hotels). The staff were great about turning on the water slide for us right away, without us even needing to ask. There is also a small gym that looks onto the pool. We stayed on the ground floor, near the pool. We looked out to the parking lot, so no view, but the curtains were heavy and blocked out light well. The room was very clean. The housekeeping staff clearly work very hard and they were also very friendly in the halls. I loved the high ceilings and VERY comfortable beds with tons of pillows. The bathroom had a low tub (great for kids) and a huge counter space with I appreciated. There was also a coffee bar area with a coffee maker, kettle, microwave and fridge. Tons of storage space. The lemon scented shampoo, conditioner and soap were tiny, but great. The staff brought us as much as we needed. It was quiet in our room and we had a great sleep! The breakfast is quite extensive. I noticed on their menu that the rotate certain hot items on their menu to add variety if you are staying for more than a night. The dining area is quite large and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. The checked in with us about our visit and helped us located items for breakfast. They were great with the kids. The food went beyond my expectations. There was so much variety and it tasted great! I was so impressed by this hotel and the next time I am visiting Loydminister this is the only place I would stay!!!

I don’t like to write these types of reviews but this stay was the worst I’ve had in years. When I arrived and checked in, I notified the staff that I should receive a corporate discount. They told me it’s not in their system and they can’t honour it. My company clearly states that I receive a corporate discount on ALL Best western hotels. They told me a couple of times that they would let their manager know and get back to me. They never got back to me. I asked again at checkout same brutal back and forth, I never got an answer and paid full price. Another guest was charged for items that were not his, and the hotel employee just argued back and forth with him, the guest just ended up paying. Another guest had a hit and run happen to his vehicle. The pool and hot tub are dirty there is a ring of dirt around the top of both. The drains are clogged in the shower.

We were quite impressed with the various staff members and the overall set up of the hotel and its amenities. The Breakfast was specular. Thank you one and all.
