Love The Golden Larches Always a friendly welcome. Great choice of food. I had apple crumble and custard this time Delicious. Definitely somewhere to stop for coffee Good size carpark and customer toilets Open most of the year Plenty seats

Good food, cute cafe, AMAZINGLY GOOD toilet!!! Although the signs everywhere were a bit annoying eg: you can’t turn around in the car park. The staff were nice but were a bit rude to some of the customers and were a bit overwhelming and in your face with ‘table service’ at entrance, food took a little while for what we had ordered. Definitely worth visiting for the toilet 🦈

Absolutely superb Breakfast with service to match. Clean, welcoming and spacious. They’ve got the lot here, coffee, cake, breakfast brunches… everything. So pleased we stopped bye for a bite to eat. Eat in and takeaway. Superb! Without doubt the best place we’ve stopped at in all of Scotland and we come here a lot throughout the year. Definitely our new “Must Stop” cafe/diner.

Golden latches balquidder wonderful food excellent service andrea and Tim 2 of the most genuine people we have ever met friendly and caring can't recommend highly enough well worth a visit mr and mrs geddes can't wait to return in the very near future .

We were able to stay two nights in the B&B "The Golden Larches" and felt very comfortable there. Andrea and Tim's hospitality is second to none. Both are so warm, friendly and attentive. We wanted for nothing. The rooms are lovingly and cosily furnished. We only deduct points for the location of the accommodation. What is a blessing for the café/B&B can be a curse for overnight guests (figuratively speaking, of course). The café/B&B is located on a very busy road, which also results in a high noise level. Many drivers have probably overlooked the words "SLOW" on the road. Unfortunately, the rooms are on the side of the road. Nevertheless, we would love to come back! Thank you for a lovely stay with you!

Very good breakfast, and lovely room and garden!:) Facilities are very modern compared to inns/hotels in the region, so the perfect place to rest after a long hike. Tim and Andrea made sure that we feel very welcome, and even dropped us off for dinner at the restaurant nearby. Thanks for your hospitality, Tim and Andrea!:)

We popped in for a quick breakfast whilst exploring the area. I must admit the ‘world famous shark toilet’ sign piqued our interest! The cafe is spotlessly clean and Tim and Andrea are so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was great and the lunch menu looked varied and well priced. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Stopped here on way to Loch Awe , Host were excellent , even opening the doors for you on entering , great food and staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Showed us photos of the two bedrooms they have updated and refurbished . Would definitely recommend nipping in and enjoying this lovely place

This was an amazing find, Tim and Andrea were quite possibly the nicest hosts I’ve ever encountered! It was like going to a good friend’s house for breakfast! We came to stay near the cafe for a week and came and visited 3 times after such a beautiful breakfast the first day and such a warm welcome, they were both brilliant with our dogs also! Coffees were fantastic and the breakfast was cooked to perfection. Will 100% be coming back on out next trip up north, we had to stop this morning before the long drive back to nottingham for some food and to say goodbye!
