Leonardo Trulli Resort

I spent four wonderful nights at Leonardo Trulli Resort, and it was just what I needed at the time. As soon as I walked into the garden and smelled the sage as I brushed against it, I knew that I was going to have a really relaxing stay. The gardens are beautiful, with herbs, flowers and fruits everywhere. The rooms are amazing with strong, solid walls so you feel almost cocooned inside your room. It was warm when I stayed, but I would really love to return when it is cold, possibly even stormy, to be able to feel so secure inside your trulli. The rooms themselves were so comfortable. I slept really well. It was also partly a working holiday and the peaceful surroundings made a great working environment. The food is out of this world, local but inventive and absolutely delicious. The demonstration of ricotta making was really interesting. I wish I could have stayed a day or two longer to try the Tiramisu the chef was going to make with it. The swimming pool, heated and with magnesium salts added, was a pleasure to swim in. But best of all are the staff, who are so friendly and helpful. You wake up in the morning, refreshed after a good night's sleep, go to breakfast where you will have the best bread you've ever tasted and with a huge selection of local produce, and feel amazing, and then the smiles and welcome from everyone around you just put you into a good mood for the rest of the day.

We visited the resort to take a cooking class. It was the best cooking class we’ve experienced in Italy. We had an excellent tour of the grounds and saw the fresh ingredients that were being incorporated into our cooking class. The session with the chef was excellent, and you could tell that he truly cared about us understanding how to prepare the dishes and a truly authentic traditional manner. The chef spoke limited English, but the assistant spoke excellent English and was very informative. We would definitely do this tour again and also this time we would stay at the resort with as welcoming as they were.

We have just had 5 nights at the Leonardo cannot fault our experience. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the 2 x Alessias in reception, booking trips, restaurants and taxis for us - always with a smile and making sure everything was ok. Giovanni was also super helpful, and Leone was there to mix a special cocktail for us. The food was delicious and the grounds beautiful- the owner Rosalba should be very proud of the resort, it was a fabulous start to our trip to Puglia. Highly recommend

Wow, a most beautiful resort run by lovely people. Rosalbo and her team are amazing, we felt like family and did not want to leave. Highly recommend a private cooking class with Francesco. Allesio was helpful at every step of the way especially with local recommendations. Simply can not recommend Leonardo Trulli highly enough for people looking for a relaxed, authentic place to stay. Gracie to the team and to anyone thinking of going - go. It’s gorgeous.

Roselba and her team, not to mention every family member, have created the most wonderful environment in which to relax. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet haven in the heart of the amazing Puglian countryside. Thank you for an incredible week. J and J Hill

My wife and I stayed at Leonardo as part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! It was incredibly charming and relaxing. Room was clean and spacious (except the shower, but that's the case for many hotels in Europe), and the breakfast was fantastic with a huge selection made fresh each day. We also had dinner there one night and their tasting menu was delicious and very creative. Every staff member we interacted with was very helpful, and the property is only a short drive from Locorotondo, where the staff recommended some great restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again if we make it back to Puglia!
