The Orange

Terrible experience unfortunately solely down to service which could be easily avoided with proper staff. We went there to celebrate a very happy birthday occasion, engagement with our close family. Staff was horrendous, screaming at me when I kindly asked to close the door as we were in the draft. I get it that you job is stressful, but I genuinely asked nicely and I did no deserve to be screamed at for doing so When we had told the manger he came with a massive attitude trying to explain to me that they need to serve food and hence the door was open, didn’t listen to me or even asked what the real issue was- ie that I we were screamed at. Really unfortunate because we have always Ed love in Thomas Cubitt group pubs - been at many of them before -“but this one under current management is terrible and hence won’t come back there until the management is changed. And frankly can’t recommend it to anyone else.

Booked a table for 5 people. The last starter arrive 15 min after the other 4 people were served. Service was generally slow. I was very annoyed when they put a 15% service charge on my bill which I changed to 10% . 15% is ridiculously high . There are much better options in the area.

Such a great place to stay. The hotel is gorgeous and well designed. The rooms are comfortable and provide a great nights sleep. The restaurant here is so good - the food and drinks are a reason enough to stay here. Exceptional experience and exceptional accommodations.

The Orange Hotel is an amazing boutique hotel. The building is charming and historic. The hotel is very nice. The team is really nice and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bar onsite has great drinks. The restaurant onsite has great food.

Honestly - diabolical. They seated us nearly 20 mins late, one of the staff had an argument with a coworker in front is us, it took nearly an hour an a half to get our food and then our 3 roast beefs were bleeding out on the plate. My friend’s lamb was over cooked and had to be replaced. When we mentioned this to the manager he honestly didn’t care. The service was both rude and slow. I used to love this place but it was the worst meal I’ve ever had in London without even an apology. The manager just didn’t. I will never go back.

The Orange is located in a wonderful charming area. The restaurant is great, have eaten here several times. However on this visit we decided to try one of the rooms. Now I knew they were small, but they are also in serious need of a face lift. The bathroom has mold growing in it (in addition to smelling of must and mold) and the curtains are shredded and there are small moths in the rooms that live in those curtains. Everything is a little tired. TV remotes don't work. The wifi is atrocious and this hotel should not advertise wifi as it is more intermittent than trying to get wifi in outback. Please please please upgrade your wifi for your guests or don't say you have it. And the rooms need a serious facelift. Restaurant staff are great, although I had requested that the hotel manager contact me and never heard a word.
