Premier Inn London Putney Bridge

We recently stayed at this hotel during a short visit to London, and while it boasts an undeniably superb location, the property itself leaves much to be desired. Nestled just across the bridge from Putney High Street, the area is brimming with charming shops, inviting eateries, and all the conveniences one might require. The District Line is but a few minutes’ walk away, offering seamless access to central London. There’s also a delightful park and an attractive historic building with a quaint garden centre just opposite, lending the area a distinctly picturesque feel. Regrettably, the hotel itself is rather tired and in need of significant refurbishment. Our family room was sufficiently spacious, and the beds reasonably comfortable, though the pillows proved far too firm for our liking. More concerning, however, was the lack of proper sound insulation—the windows did little to block out the persistent din of traffic from the busy road below, which was at times quite disruptive. The neighbourhood feels perfectly safe and well-situated, making it an excellent base from which to explore the city. That said, the hotel’s dated condition and the somewhat indifferent demeanour of the reception staff do detract from the overall experience. In summary, a well-located property with great potential, but one that is sorely overdue for a thoughtful renovation.

The hotel is a bit tired these days, and the WIFI was so slow- I had to use my international data which was frustrating…..however as previously said by other reviewers- the staff were awesome. Helpful and friendly at every step of the way . Also The location and closeness to the Tube were added bonuses. If you want 4 star…. It won’t be up to the mark…. But it does what is says it does and you will appreciate the staff.

I had called in to ask one of the stff members if they could arrange something specail as I could not go with my husband to stay in London, My husband friend would be going with my husband, So when my husband and his friend walked into the room, they were surprised and found chocolate, champagne and the stuff had signed a birthday card. They went the extra mile to make my husband birthday special.

This hotel is well located on the Fulham side of Putney Bridge and does all the basics well. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy the heating is controllable and bathroom is fully functional and clean. Although the hotel was busy, it didn't feel overly noisy on a night time. I didn't stay for food so I cannot rate their breakfast / evening meal.

we had a fantastic time - we have stayed before but this time we had a problem with the room and the staff moved us without fuss. Service was great, and it is a good standard for a central London hotel. We've stayed before and plan to stay again - on the bus route for British Museum and Central London Theatres if the tubes fail.

As you turn the corner from Putney Bridge station and your teenager sarcastically remarks 'well this looks nice' you know its bad! This is possibly the oldest and scruffiest looking Premier Inn in the UK. We were greeted warmly at check in and all the staff we encountered during our stay were pleasant and helpful, particularly everyone at the front desk. Our room was overlooking a pub over the road which didnt bother us too much but with the rubbish outside the window and the netting to prevent pigeons / homeless it gave the air of 1960s council tower block. It was freezing because the windows appear to be original and we were lucky to have a 3 legged heater which we used a lot during our stay. We had zero water pressure so stood under the watering can like feed every morning hoping for some warmth. Breakfast was ok, staff needed some encouragement to re-stock the continental items but the hot food was regularly replenished. Great location for Putney Bridge station but unless you need to be in Putney I'd stay somewhere else. I won't be back unless theres a refurbishment and some new windows.
