Had an Amazing stay. Nice location and very good service. Would definitely recommend

Really recommended place! The hotel is near the financial district and is cheaper than the rest of the hotel in the neighbour. Quality of the hotel is good. The staff is really nice.

Second time staying at the Dorsett City London. The rooms are sufficient and functional, however the gym could be better as it’s too small with a lack of machines. Rooftop bar is also smaller than you’d think.

Firstly want to say thank you to Prince who gave us a nice corner room . The location is wonderful, close walk to the train station, also seemed like a safe environment. There is a Tesco express close by which was very convenient also a multitude of restaurants to choose from. There's also a bar on the roof of the hotel , which I imagine has amazing views of the city. Didn't get the chance to experience this as it's a reservation only bar . One suggestion for the hotel is to allow guest access without a reservation, as many people may be booking rooms solely to experience this,Only to be told they must have a reservation in advance. Thankfully that wasn't the case with us bur just a thought. On to the important things like the service , which was sub par to say the least, upon arrival my partner and I got out of a cab with 4 large suitcases two carry on luggage and 2 backpacks, after check-in the hotel staff just stared at us even though there were two luggage trolleys in a corner , had to ask someone if they could assist us . Later in the night we ordered take out, which didn't come with any cutlery (no fault of the hotel ofcourse) however, I called room service for some n was advised to go down to the restaurant . Which I found weird but did it any ways, when I got there I was told there were no plates??? In a restaurant ...really??? Lol must have stupid written across my forehead. They did give us some cheap disposable cutlery which I could barely eat with . In our room the shower door didnt have rubber which meant your mat was soaked after every shower, by the end of our one night stay we were basically ice-skating in the bathroom lol, ice skating said intentionally since the floors were sooo cold , definitely wouldn't be staying there in the depths of winter . Overall was an OK stay, it provided a place to rest for a night, in a safe , convenient location. HOWEVER, I wouldn't stay there for more than a night as it just wasn't what I expected based on the advertising.

Location worked well. service at VQ restaurant was good. Was given an accessible room even though I did not book one nor was I advised such before being assigned to it when I checked in - so everything in the room (bed, switches etc) were of a lower set up, which would have been useful for visitors who required such. No door in the bath / shower set up so bathroom floor got very wet - thankfully I managed to use some towels to limit the risk there but it could have been dangerous.

Convenient. Just next to Aldgate Station. A few cafes and shops in walking distance. The staffs are friendly especially the lady at front desk, Trudy. The room is clean. The space of the hotel is reasonable to stay for more than a night. Will definitely stay at this hotel again. The view at the bar is really amazing.

Hotel was ok. Nothing to complain about. The best thing about it is the location. The train station is just right beside. There is a sky bar if you love to drink

Hotel receptionists are helpful and friendly. I only had unhappy experience with house-keeping staff. First time, I closed the door leaving the key inside, an young house keeper passed by, I politely asked for her help. She told me “contact reception” with impolite attitude, walk away immediately but I still can hear her mumbled “ it’s not my work”. Second time, I and my friend came to her room while the house keeper doing cleaning, we saw her put all stuffs ( coffee, tea, water bottle) in the Garbage bin and refill in the room. Is it a common practice in the hotel? Even though the coffee sachets, water bottle sealed, but garbage bin is used for garbage, not for those things.

Top tier hotel very friendly people especially at the reception helped with everything that day

This was a 3 day trip to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. Check in was easy although we struggled a little to understand the girl on reception. Happy with our superior room - comfy beds, very large fluffy towels, great shower cubicle and welcome tea/coffee making facilities. Our only negative was for one morning the water was cold so bracing shower! Great location next to Aldgate tube station. Did not have breakfast so can’t comment

The Hotel was beautiful and I would go back. But we had a mistake and intead of booking our last night be booked a night early, they had empty rooms but wouldn't let us change the date, so they were going to charge us an extra 300£ for one extra night, for which we didn't stay. By all this, they blamed Trip.com, they said if we had booked over the hotel we could've changed it, but as we booked over another company it was not possible due to their agreement with them.

This hotel experience was very pleasant- staff and front desk were very polite and helpful, checking in and out was straightforward and easy, the room was clean and furnished well, the bathroom was spotless and comfortable to use- especially the shower!
