Hotel is in such a great location and being above a pub means you’ve got ready access to plenty of decent food and drink at all times. Staff were generally very good. We interacted with three staff who were all lovely. Negatives - the room we were in (standard) was so so so small. Probably ok for one person but very small for two. - whilst we asked for the room to be cleaned, we got nothing more than new towels. No bed made, no bathroom/toilet cleaned. - there was a siren going off outside the hotel all day and all night for the entirety of our stay. Not the hotel’s fault, but paying to stay somewhere where noise made it difficult to sleep at night was frustrating. - on both nights there was a strong smell of **** coming from the beer garden after closing time. - food is whetherspoons style stuff.

A really enjoyable stay and I will definitely return when I am back in the area. A really warm welcome and good service throughout. Food and drinks were both good and also reasonably priced by London standards! Room above the pub, with a nice comfy bed. The local area is really nice. I would recommend as an alternative to chain hotels

This is a boutique hotel experience with a pub on the main level and rooms just above and next to it. We stayed about 3-4 nights here Feb 2024 from Las Vegas, NV and our room was compact, but cozy enough for two people. The room had a tea set up, comfortable bed with a super warm duvet, en suite shower, and bathroom.The employees are what made this stay great honestly. Everyone was super nice and accommodating to the point where one afternoon we just hung out in the pub chatting with them and taking drink recommendations. Everything was seamless from check in, to them bringing food up to the room from the pub, to housekeeping. We never went without fresh towels or bottles of water. They also do offer hotel guests a discount at the pub so do take advantage of that as well. It was very charming with a neighborhood local pub feel where everyone is friendly. Under 15 min walk from the tube station and there’s a mini mall just ten minutes walking that has a large market, ikea, Primark etc. Then one street over is several food options, thrift stores, and more stores to shop at. Will definitely stay again the next time we’re in London.

Great service. Food was great and the hotel was lovely. Chap behind the bar super friendly. Stayed a few times and eaten here and it never disappoints. Beautiful in the summer with the beer garden. Hotel room clean and welcoming. Big tv screens. What more could you want.

Do not recommend booking this on ***********. I made that mistake. During the booking process, I told them I want to pay later and booking took payment immediately. This is dishonest and should be illegal. Avoid this place.

We felt mislead by the photos, our room was substandard compared to the rest. We saw other rooms during our stay when walking past them and could see they were much nicer. On arrival the staff, an Australian chap was friendly enough but it was a very basic service, we couldn’t get in the room and the place where our luggage was stashed was an unlocked room off the bar which made me feel a bit nervous. We stayed for two nights. Our bed was massively creaky, our window didn’t have an arm so was either wide open or closed, they are single glazed so it was quite noisy being above a pub but it didn’t bother us much as we were back fairly late. I didn’t rate the security just a gate with a code which is etched on the room keys and then main hotel doesn’t have a key to it I feel they need to add a lock here. Shower is in the room, toilet seat hanging off. Room was clean and serviced our needs as we were out a lot. Location is good just a few minutes from a metro stop. For budget accommodation it’s ok.

We stayed for 1 night. The room obviously had not been cleaned thoroughly. The bed sheet looked like it had already been slept in. There was dust all over the fan in the room. The bathroom celing light was hanging off. The area around the toilet had not been cleaned as there was clearly dried urine splashed on the floor. I was really disappointed as the reviews I read were good. Won't be staying again and I certainly would not recommend.

Arrived very early after a flight. Easy walk from the tube. Room wasn't available yet (perfectly understandable) but got some drinks at the really impressive bar. Soon as the room was cleaned and ready we were checked in. Rooms well appointed, clean, pretty large too for London. Breakfast available at the weekends too and it's damn good. Thanks folks 😃
