Quintessence Hotel Anguilla

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! From check-in orientation until check-out, total disaster! Rooms 100% misrepresented. (website shows king size bed but in reality ALL the beds are queen size) disappointing. Breakfast menu contains of 3 options EVERY DAY, quite boring and too simple. Property is highly mismanaged. No one cares!!! ZERO EFFORT from staff members on making guests feel welcomed or valued. Definitely need to lower the prices of the rooms and hire MORE staff, to tend to their guests as there are ONLY 12 "villas" on property. We were definitely disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to feel special and catered to. No such service here EVEN when paying over $1,000 a night plus tax& resort fees! Some areas around the property smell of sewage. Gross! Before staying here, we stayed at Aurora, for the same price a night we had a personal butler that tended to our every need, one text message away. We thought for the same value we could stay here and have the same experience but definitely NOT!! SAVE YOUR $$$. GO ELSEWHERE!!! Save your money and go elsewhere!

The property is beautiful and the best for a relaxing time. The rooms are so nice and when I arrived to my room they welcomed me with so many special details. The restaurant by the beach was so nice and staff is very welcoming. Definitely recommend especially if you just want peace

The Quintessence is truly a magical property. The staff was incredible. The buildings, gardens, pool and beach are stunning. Our meals at both Julien's and the beach shack were excellent. It is a very special, quiet, relaxing escape. We would love to go back.

Pros: The property is beautiful, and there are so few people you often have the infinity pool completely to yourselves. The beach is also stunning and with basically no one else there. Cons: Since this is a boutique hotel with less guests, there is less coverage from staff. Everyone was very nice but if you want to get food or a drink it can take quite a while and you have to be proactive about it, and there are limited hours for lunch and food options. The gym and amenities are also quite small as you would expect for a boutique hotel like this. The lack of other guests also left this feeling a little more dead than was ideal for us. If you truly want privacy and absolutely no one around this can be a good option for you. Just be aware it comes with some service gaps. The island itself has many beautiful beaches and great restaurants, but during the day if you want to spend time at the resort I would recommend a slightly larger one unless you really value the privacy.

It was an incredibly relaxing experience, the staff had thought of everything from welcome champagne and cheese and charcuterie, to sun cream around the pool. With so few guests, it felt more like a private villa than a hotel which we loved. We were often the only ones by the pool if we sat there, and the beach is great. Julian’s on site did fantastic food but there is also a selection of restaurants along Meads bay too.

In November, 2024 my husband and I had the delight to stay in this wonderful tropical grand mansion. Everything is 5*****: The Lobby; The Pool Area; The Restaurant Area; The Service; The Beach, and all the smiles of the staff. When we walked in we were greeted by Merla, the General Manager, and by Simone. We were given a tour of the property, and then escorted to our room. We stayed in the Bresil Suite, and everything was over the top! We spent most of our days at the beach, which was not very crowded. Arlon took care of us all day long at the beach, and constantly refilled our water glasses. Shawn worked the bar, and was delightful! Lunch was usually served by Lisa, and we always appreciated her menu suggestions! There is a small kitchen at the beach, and a Restroom. The beach area is well staffed and very clean. Kerin was always around to provide us with whatever we desired. We had breakfast every morning in the main dining area overlooking the water, and there are many menu choices. We were usually greeted by Lisa or Tanika. Both ladies are very prideful and enjoying working at the hotel. We did eat dinner out at a few restaurants; however we ended up having most of our dinners at Julien's, as the food was so divine! The hotel is filled with antiques and beautiful artwork. We love the hotel so much, we have already booked our November, 2025 vacation, to stay there again. We can't thank Merla, and all her staff, for providing us a very restful vacation, and we look forward to visiting there for many years to come!
