Malliouhana Resort Anguilla

AMAZING experience!!! They made my birthday so special. Friendly staff and a beautiful room. Relaxing and gorgeous hotel. It was just so perfect. I stayed at other resorts on the island during my stay, but Malliouhana was my favorite out of all of them. I dream of going back soon.

We used to come here in the late 80's with my family and it is nice to know it's still here and still lovely. Many renovations have been made to the entry way, dining, pool, etc. We came here for Christmas dinner and found a lovely spot near the beach to renew our 20th anni vows. We then sat outside the bar to have a cocktail and listen to some live steel drum music which was a slice of heaven for me having grown up coming to the islands and loving this music. The cocktails were delicious, setting lovely, sunset beautiful - only drawback was just the service but easily forgivable given everything else.

Absolutely the most incredible hotel on the Island, 40 years of history and outstanding customer service you can imagine. You get what you pay for and regardless of cost the memories last a lifetime. They truly embrace their visitors with a luxury service, attention to the smallest of details and a genuine warmth making you want to re-visit the Island time and time again. Thank you Malli! Can't wait to return.

THIS place met every one of my expectations! From the esthetics to the staff, just chef's kiss! We were able to totally relax, relate, and release at this resort. If you are looking for something different and off the beaten path, thisbisbthe place for you. I highly recommend.

I want to start with saying the resort is GORGEOUS, the people are friendly, and our room was spectacular. My reason for 3 of 5 stars is service. For this price point I was expecting more. We had a beachfront room, when I booked I asked that they set up two chairs in front of the room instead of having to sit in front of Leons. At check in they assured me they would be set up, we didn't see them so walked down to the attendants and they did set up the chairs. The issue was that when we would leave at the end of the day, no one would come clean them up- so every morning we would collect our dirty towels walk them back along with the water and plastic ice container. Then have to ask EACH DAY for them to bring us the ice water, and we would make our own chairs up when we would grab fresh towels. At this price point, I would have thought after day 4 they would have done this- but we did the same routine for 8 days- no one anticipated it or knew our name. No one offered to do this for us, 5 star hotels would normally do things like that for their guests. The other issue was my husband needed a doctor while we were there so I went to the front desk to ask- they said they would call my room with recommendations. After an hour and no phone call, I went and found it myself. No one ever called to check in on him. No one knew us by name, or went out of their way to ask if we needed anything. I asked for a late check out at 2pm, and the person on the phone acted like I asked for a free day? It was 2 hours- again- weird to me for a 5 star. Maybe being in the houses on the beach gives a different experience, but we were a little disappointed. There were many positives and this did not ruin our trip AT ALL. We still loved the hotel ambiance, the drinks at the pool in the late afternoon, the beach was amazing, and the people are all very nice! Not sure for this price point I would return.

Everything was magical! The staff were kind, attentive and knowledgeable. They knew our names and made sure we had the best experience possible. There were wonderful added touches, like treats during turn-down service and fun events like rum/chocolate tasting. We feel so lucky to have spent the week in this beautiful place and we will be dreaming about it until we are able to return! Highly recommend!
