Amazing experience in this Hotel. That family took hospitality to another level and really made me feel at home. I even had diner with them on the last night. Location and food was great. They even upgraded my room upon arrival. Would 100% recommend that hotel!

Love my stay, proprietors were welçoming, clean, had family meals, upgraded at no cost, hot water, heater great room patio views.
The negative experience and *not connected with the hotel were the aggressive ethnic women vendors, they lie about their products, use guilt trip and aggression to try to get you to buy. I certainly don't want the lump them all together but in my seven encounters it was 100%, perhaps it's a cultural thing. I've told my proprietor and hopefully she'll warm them that it's harmful fleecing and being unpleasant.

Everything was great except from the bathroom which was a little of a culture shock for westerners like us.
The hosts were very friendly and picked us up from the parking lot, we had a great stay🌺

The location is great and the hotel is authentic and rustic, but this also means, squat toilet in the shower.
Otherwise, the people of the hotel is very helping and can arrange you transportation back to Guilin for 50 RMB (2025)

The place is in a very convenient location (compared to other inns that are way up the mountain hill). All wood, very cozy. Can get cold in the winter. The owner is very friendly and they have a good menu with local dishes. Definitely worth for the price.

I've had an excellent experience staying at this place. It is a homestay in every sense of the word, as you are host of Yu Chon Wan and his family. The place, all made of wood, is authentic and conveniently located in the middle of the hill, with beautiful views. I suggest, if you have the opportunity, to eat there, definitely a strong point. The food is freshly made as you can see them cooking in the kitchen at dinner time. Like in other places in China, agree beforehand the amount of spicyness and salt, if that is a concern. They have a menu and they will tell you what is available and what is not, which to me is a plus, meaning that the ingredients are locally sourced, fresh and seasonal.
The bathroom required some adaptation, as it was tiny and not made with Western standards in mind, yet I found mine clean, like the rest of the room.

The guesthouse has a very good price/quality ratio.
1) The hosts are very responsive, hospitable and willing to help. At our request, they booked us seats on the direct bus from Yangshuo to Dazhai, and also met us at Dazhai bus station and took us to the hotel by car.
2) The guesthouse is very atmospheric: wooden, with simple furnishings - you feel like you are in nature. Since the weather was rainy, we used the umbrellas provided by the guesthouse.
3) The room is simple, but it has everything you need, we did not need anything. The most important thing in the room is the balcony with a beautiful view of the rice terraces.
4) The location of the guesthouse is convenient - not far from Dazhai bus station, and from the observation decks.
5) We also had a delicious dinner at the guesthouse.
We really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse.

Our inn is Chinese fir stilted building, the main building is four storeys high, independent loft is two storeys high, own 20 rooms. We also have bus from Guilin railway station to Dazhai parking. and we provide charter service, if need, please make advance reservation.
