A jewel of a place to stay in every way… the staff were super accommodating and friendly as well as efficient and very personable. the architecture is simple and elegant. I loved this part of the city, especially during the summer… open breezes in front of the water, not exactly the beach as stated, but not far from the beach. Close to some very nice restaurants right on the water. Super easy to get to and from the center via 500 bus. Great breakfast with nice choices and a garden in the back which is super quiet and great to hang out in. They even have bikes if you want to go riding up the marginal. The sheets were luxurious and the beds, super comfy… I loved this place…very special.

This is a 'hotel garni'. It is fantastic, so friendly and clean and comfortable in a terrific location. Turn left and you have lovely beaches and clean sea. Keep left and you have amazing restaurants and chic boutiques. The staff are wonderful. Don't expect a hotel, it's all the better for it. Our kind of place and would definitely return. Loved breakfast too. Only downside is that Porto central is a building site at the moment, it is manic.

Beautiful hotel- located along scenic beach. Great amenities- definitely more of a bespoke experience than true luxury, however it offers everything our 5 star experience in Porto offered + more. Great breakfast spread, free port for people staying, free bikes to use around town. Huge spacious rooms at an affordable rate.

Eccellente posizione con comodo parcheggio gratuito (non custodito) e vicinissimo a fermata mezzi pubblici. Camere molto pulite e spaziose. Personale TOP! Location piccola e tranquilla arredata con ottimo gusto. Comode biciclette a disposizione.

Les points faibles: Hotel a première vue excentré, mais la ligne 500 directement devant règle sans soucis cette question, par contre il faut considérer la liaison vers l’aeroport en taxi, le bus 500 n’étant pas idéal si on est chargé. Le petit-déjeuner est moyen, et le mobilier relativement basique. Plus voir l’établissement comme une chambre d’hôtes qu’un hotel. Les points forts: Situation au calme, permettant des promenades le long de la Douro, ce qui est très agréable. C’est certainement le plus bel atout de l’hôtel. Les chambres, même sur la route (donc le fleuve aussi) sont suffisamment calme, propre et assez grandes. Le personnel est très serviable.

Duas Portas was in a fabulous location. View of water with easy to walk to cafes and right on bus and tram lines. The rooms were spacious with super comfy beds and linens. Breakfast was phenomenal as were snacks and wine! All the staff was lovely, helpful and kind. Paula overheard it was a member of our party's birthday and even got her a cake!! Just cannot say enough good things. Can't wait to return.

Un albergo che ha tutto o quasi che uno possa desiderare: poche camere ma grandi e arredate con cura, personale gentile, atmosfera familiare, bella posizione, ottima collazione, prezzo onesto... Nel salotto si trova una bottiglia aperta del porto e uno si serve da solo (è offerto). Avevo la camera numero 6 (secondo piano, lato strada, vista sul fiume, 90 euro la notte): temevo il rumore del traffico ma alla fine non era un problema, sia perché non c'è troppo traffico durante la notte sia per la qualità delle finestre. La camera era ampia, così come il bagno (in questa camera con una vasca da bagno). È situato a 15-20 minuti dal centro di Porto, che si raggiunge comodamente in bus (la fermata del numero 500 è subito davanti) oppure in bicicletta (ci sono diverse bici messe a disposizione gratuitamente). In compenso il mare è vicinissimo e bisogna approfittarne. In breve: questo è il tipo di albergo che vorrei sempre trovare quando viaggio. Mi piacerebbe tornare una volta in primavera o estate e provare magari una delle camere che danno sul giardino.
