Posada del Cortes

We stayed at Posada del Cortes for a couple of days both before and after a multi-day sea kayaking trip from Loreto, and were very happy with our stay. The hotel is in a great location for walking to the Malecón and also to the pedestrian street that goes in front of the Misión which has lots of great restaurants. The staff and management are friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The hotel is clean and charming, with multiple outdoor patios including a lovely rooftop patio which is especially delightful for drinking your morning coffee and watching the sunrise, or taking up a glass of wine and watching the sunset. The hotel has secure parking, and also stored our bags for us while we were on our kayaking trip. Do bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, as the Misión enthusiastically chimes beginning early in the morning, and there is some late night music from local establishments. We highly recommend Posada del Cortes and would definitely stay here the next time we travel to Loreto.

The beds are very comfortable. 6 fluffy pillows. Rooms are comfortable with TV and microwave. Walking distance to the Malecón and the plaza. Lots of good restaurants to choose from short walks away. Hotel includes a very healthy breakfast with fruit , yogurt , toast and coffee. Staff is friendly and there is parking. Second time here and I will stay here again. Overall wonderful experience!

We spent 9 nights at Posada del Cortes in January 2024 and could not have been happier. The room was spacious - we were in a 2nd floor suite. Our room had a small but serviceable balcony where we had breakfast. The breakfast is delivered to your room - let them know the day before what time you will want breakfast. Breakfast is toast, fruit, yogurt and coffee. Nothing special, but a nice way to start the day. We skipped a couple times and when to Pan Que Pan for breakfast which is a 5 minute walk. Highly recommended. The beds were comfy. Josefa and Ussiel were wonderful hosts and were always very helpful. Their english was pretty good and communication was not difficult. There is maid service daily - we asked not to have the linens and towels washed in order to save on water and that was not a problem. Be aware that the Loreto Mission is not too far away, so church bells will wake you at 6am daily. Unfortunately, I believe that is inescapable at any hotel near the center of town. Consider it part of the charm! There are 2 lovely rooftop decks and a beautiful ground level courtyard. The location is perfect - a 1 minute walk to the city main square. We highly recommend Posada del Cortes!

We stayed at here for two nights. It has exceeded all our expectations! Such a lovely colonial style property in a central location but super quiet and one block from the beach, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, the room is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent, super fresh fruits and nice coffee. We will certainly come back.
