I was in town for only two nights for a work trip and wanted to be somewhere that was convenient for my meetings but also was close enough to the fun stuff throat I could play in the off-work hours. This boutique hotel in LA was the perfect spot for this and was excellent value for money. I stayed in one of the rooms on the second floor at the back of the building. The room was adorable, clean, with a very comfortable bed and an amazing (and huge) bathroom. The bar downstairs has music every night and you can hear it a bit in the evenings but every room has a sound machine and I popped mine in and slept like a baby with no issues. They also have recording studios on the property and I loved hearing some of the musicians in their sessions during the day. You can order drinks to your room during the day and they have a parking lot that is a block down Santa Monica which was very convenient as I had a rental car. 100% will stay here again.

Bed was super comfortable. The room very bright and clean. We had a record player with an eclectic selection of vinyl. The instructional booklet was a big help, and had the building history, so cool! We were there for the music, Ethio Cali and decided to stay, what a wonderfully way to spend the evening. The personal service when checking in and during our stay was outstanding.

Came in from the desert to see some music (shout-out to The Whitmore Sisters!!!) and lo and behold the venue was a hotel too! Everything about my stay was top notch. Superb lodgings, great cocktails, cool neighbourhood with tasty eats, sweet views of downtown LA, the hills and Griffith Observatory from my balcony in Room 6. Bonus for the free parking a block away. Only downside was I forgot my complimentary vinyl compilation, but I’ll be back to stay again😀

My wife and I went to a concert and stayed in the hotel. The rooms are super cool and very hip. Great art. The concert venue cannot be topped as it sounds amazing and is very intimate and never too crowded. Fun way to spend a night out in Los Angeles!

Gold Diggers is a great Hollywood boutique hotel (only ten rooms I think). Owners Dave and Rachel have put a lot of love in the rooms which continue the music/recording theme from the on-site recording studio and music venue. My room had albums and a record player. There’s a fun club/bar venue just below with top quality music and DJs. Bartender Adam was welcoming. Recommended !

It’s not located in the ritziest park of town but it is definitely a gem. If you like some grit, this place is perfect. Bar below can be a little loud but there are earplugs available. Then again, they do play live music and serve great cocktails so you might be missing out if you stop listening. This is a no fuss hotel. Electronic concierge by text is super responsive. Location is super central. Music ＞ TV kinda place. Overall, this hotel just gives off a really cool vibe! I’d recommend this place to music junkies and good timers.

A gritty outside to Wonderland. I was Alice, curiouser & trying all: ‘eat me’, drink me’, wear me! The amenities, bed, paintings, mobiles, art deco sconces and nouveau-mid century touches are divine.

We are so happy we stumbled upon this hotel during our search. Very unique. The personal communication you receive while staying here was pleasantly unexpected! The hotel is also a club/bar so expect noise. But we went down to join the fun then easily walked backed to our room and knocked out with no problem. The personal touches you receive here- you will not find at most hotels. Parking was free in a parking lot that's a small walk away. You would not expect how adorable this place is from judging the neighborhood. You'll love this surprise!!!! We can't wait to come back and stay again!!!

Gold Diggers is the perfect accommodation for anyone who wants their trip to LA to have a really unique vibe. The building is quiet during the day, and at night you can hear the low bass hum from the bar downstairs - absolutely not enough to keep you awake, more like a comforting heartbeat of the building. Every element of the room is finished to the highest quality, making this feel like a true boutique hotel stay. Hollywood Boulevard is walking distance, and we reached Griffith Observatory, LACMA, Universal Studios, and other LA landmarks with just a short cab ride. We'll definitely stay here on future trips! (we stayed in Room 6, for anyone who wants this specific room)
