Louisville Bourbon Inn

This is simply a 10 out of five stars! The owners go above and beyond in every aspect. The beds are comfortable, sheets are soft and fluffy, the air quality is nice, water pressure in the bathroom is great, location could not be better, and attention to detail is never neglected. Michael and Allan were very friendly hosts. They were genuine and eager to enjoy a casual conversation. The historic house and carriage house were both maintained perfectly and the park across the street was beautiful. They also have a nice courtyard with a lot of flowers. The breakfast was set up beautifully, even though I did not have time to partake. My favorite place was the staircase in the main entry. I felt like a princess in my own castle.

I have the great fortune to have my wife plan a weekend trip to the Bourbon Trail and she happened to book our stay with Allen at the Louisville Bourbon Inn. The accommodations were simply amazing, the food was next level (ask for an omelette or biscuits and gravy). BUT the kicker to the trip was the "Old Fashioned" that we sipped around the lovely courtyard fire pit at the end of the day. 10 STARS! I survived the Bourbon Tour only to have Allen's Old Fashion knock me down like Muhammad Ali did to Joe Fraizer. We will be back, and we are going to be bringing a bunch of our friends. You cannot go wrong with the Louisville Bourbon Inn. Just trust me, it's one of our favorite places now.

Supreme B&B! The owner/host was simply amazing. Kind, courteous, no detail too small. The room was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful….particularly Allen’s award winning biscuits and gravy. Great recommendations for dinner, distillery’s, etc. Allen also crafts a mean Old Fashioned. Yes. Stay here. We will be back.

Let me start off by saying that this place is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! We stayed there for a week and the mansion is unquestionably stunning, both inside and out, and the special little touches everywhere from the flower and plant arrangements that look & smell wonderful to the impeccable cleanliness to the way the pillows are fluffed in the common areas do not go unnoticed. The bed is heavenly and the bedding was quite luxurious. Everything at this place is top notch. The hospitality is also better than any place we’ve ever been. We’re sometimes a little shy or introverted when staying in BnB’s and tend to avoid interactions. Beats me why we are like that, but it’s just how we are. This place is perfect because the owner (who is also a phenomenal chef and mixologist) has good intuition and reads the client well but you’ll be comfortable and feel like family quickly & intuitively. I just cannot say enough nice things about this place. The breakfasts are, without question, better than any you will find in all of Louisville and also with a MUCH finer atmosphere. The mansion is just incredible in itself but then the owner will make you extraordinary cocktail if you request them. The neighborhood is safe and quite spectacular with Victorian mansions all over the place. Central Park is right across the street and one can just walk and walk while looking at stunning historical buildings. It’s very unique but, quite frankly, the Louisville Bourbon Inn mansion is probably the nicest of ALL the amazing buildings in the area and that says a lot! Anyway, I could go on and on and on but don’t hesitate-if you’re thinking about booking, just do it! ***side note…our last day there, the owner volunteered by entering into “The Gravy Cup”. It’s the World’s largest biscuit & gravy competition. Who would have guessed that this event took place in Kentucky, but it does. ANYWAY, the Louisville Bourbon Inn won first place while competing with restaurants from all over the World, including chefs who have famous “breakfast specific” restaurants. So that kinda suggests what the breakfasts are like at the Louisville Bourbon Inn. And don’t forget that the atmosphere is better than any you’ll find just about any restaurant too, so it’s a double whammy! Allen is the “Gravy King” of North America! So glad we found this place! Loved everything about it from booking to checkout. We spent a few minutes on the phone to help decide on booking and I never want to book a place online again Jeff took the time to describe a couple of the rooms, get to know us a bit, then suggested a suite that was perfect for us. The beautiful mansion *just wow* very tasteful decor- perfect blend of modern upgrades without distorting the historic beauty. Loved the bourbon themed suites! Lovely, festive Christmas decorations made everything even more grand. We were warmly welcomed by the very communicative Jeff, so we knew just where to park and which entrance to use. He was also very knowledgeable when it came to navigating, seeing the area, suggesting restaurants, etc. We loved that he was able to give us a little history about the inn as well. We woke up to the smell of fresh coffee brewing. Breakfast was hot & hearty. We will be going back for a longer visit and would highly recommend to anyone- including those hesitant about B & B style accommodations.

Pinch me am I dreaming????? We got to experience a Louisville Bourbon Inn Wonderland!! It snowed throughout our trip but that added to the charm and experience of the inn and we werent mad about it! Allen was so accomodating and a real angel he made our brief stay feel like we rested a full week!! The breakfast here is top tier with Allan in the kitchen you know you'll be getting something good, he is a secret 5 star restaurant chef if you ask me even though he is very demure about it. Listen, please visit the bourban inn you won't be dissapointed there is so much beauty to see in this Victorian Mansion it can be enjoyed any time of the year! So happy we chose this place and we can't wait to be back this time with more family and friends we will be fans for life!!
