Hotel Bastide & Spa - Villa de Lourmarin

Such a lovely hotel! My husband and I found Lourmarin through instagram and then this hotel and it was perfect! Only a few minutes walk away from the centre of the village. The room was tidy and a lovely size with a balcony. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially Kevin who kindly brought an extension cord up to the room so that I could plug in my hairdryer closer to the mirror :). He was always quick to bring irons / Ice buckets etc to the room too if needed! We also booked a wine tasting afternoon at Château Saint Pierre de Mejans (i'd recommend) which was only 4k away so no taxis would take us so the hotel owner (didn't catch his name unfortunately) gave us a lift there and picked us back up in his own car! The pool is a great size as well as clean and tidy and never too busy! Didn't end up eating at the hotel but the food always looked and smelt great!

My wife and I booked Hotel Bastide for 4 nights for a wedding weekend. Our experience was terrible. Room cleanliness: -10/10 Customer respect: 0/10 Reasons from most significant to least: 1. There were a few oblong flies in the room. Not a big deal, I killed them. Then I noticed a few more in the bathroom. Then I complained. The front desk said “the cleaning team leaves the door open and they fly in, after you kill them you should be fine”. I then saw a baby fly on the bed, and found another on the curtains, and I went searching for more in the room. There was an infestation on the outside of the room, and they were freely crawling under the closed sliding glass door (see photo) 2. The safe was literally broken. The door was hanging off the hinges. Before discovering the infestation, I went to the front desk to complain about this, and he said “we have lots of problems with safes here”. OK… (see attached photo) 3. The bathroom sink is “in” the shower, so you need to walk on the shower floor to get there. It was still wet when we walked in the room, and had a scent of mildew. (See attached photo) 4. There was dust all inside the closet and the closet doors which grosses out my wife more than me, but is an indication of their attention to detail in cleaning the room (see attached photo and #3 above) After the source of the bugs was identified (and unsolvable) we asked to move rooms. They were fully booked. At that point, we had no choice but to make a reservation with a different hotel. After the front desk team member saw the source of the bugs, he assured us that he thought the owner would be reasonable and accept our request for a refund. We booked with Chase and until now (~3 weeks later) the owner has not be responsive to their queries. Obviously, I don’t recommend.

We had a lovely stay at La Bastide, with a very warm and friendly welcome. The room was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location and is only a short 5 minute stroll into the heart of the very pretty village. We loved relaxing by the pool at the end of each afternoon. The breakfast was amazing. Kevin went out his way to help us with transportation to and from the wedding venues over our 4 day stay . The hotel is opposite the entrance to the quaint village , where you will find a great choice of restaurants. The rooms are spotless clean . Bathroom small but modern . If I have to pick holes I would suggest they offer feather pillows as I found theirs too hard . But that’s me .

Beautiful and charming hotel with unusual art pieces throughout. Very friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to the town's center. Small fridge in the room with complimentary water bottles. Very friendly and helpful staff. Disliked · The shower area was really tiny in the corner of a bathtub with a lot of splashing on the tiles in front. The wifi connection didn't work in our room, which was quite frustrating and not really acceptable in a hotel of this category.

Es war einfach alles sehr gut. Vom Personal über die Location und im speziellen der Pool, da es sehr heiss war.
